You are doing so well with your NSDs, and the imminent reduction in the mortgage is exciting! Paying off ours made all the difference though our circumstances were different.

Looking at a major theme of your thread - can you work it to get commission for recommending recipes?  :D  :D  :D You have some superb ones (I'm about to send the Moroccan-style vegan Shepherd's pie to my DD, and I think that's one I read about here). I suppose you'd have to blog to do that, but I'm not the only one keeping an eye out for what you're eating.  ;)

Exciting news about the imminent mortgage payment reduction and next years extra from the windows.

That will make a big difference to the budget.

We still need to decide what we are doing with my recent COL rise. The next two  months of extras are going into the savings account to use as extra spends while we are in France but after that we need a plan for them. I expect it will be two thirds as a further overpayment on the mortgage and the other third into the savings account.

Great news on the upcoming boosts to the finances - I like to plan ahead for that sort of thing as well to help to keep a grasp on where things should be heading in the future.

Good news on the extra borrowing/doors/windows payments being gone from next year.  Well done on the litter picking. My eldest granddaughter says she wants to go litter picking over the summer holidays.
