Delurking to say I have one of these:

I don’t have an oven at all - we moved here about six months ago and as our kitchen will get redone in a couple of years I was just looking for something that would tide us over till then as the lead time on getting a freestanding electric cooker in the right size for the gap was too long.  I can cook and bake absolutely everything in this, the microwave and a hot plate.

I’d agree with the reviews that it’s not easy to clean, but it’s fast, big enough for a full roast and I love it! Added plus, you can leave your plates on the top to warm before dishing up 😀

My DS has that one @New_in_the_fens. I’ll see how I get on with this unknown make one which should be arriving tomorrow. You might find you don’t need an oven after all. I’ve only used mine once in the last 3 years since the invasion of the Ninjas 😆

  • I suppose I can’t get my head around having a new kitchen but not having a cooker put in! I definitely don’t miss a cooker 😂

The air fryer sounds good. It is something I will buy when I am settled. There are so many good options for cooking now instead of using the energy guzzling main oven...

I got my first Ninja to replace a Breville Halo then when my oven started playing up I bought the Ninja oven as a stop gap. Realised I don’t really need an oven after that. Then I got the Ninja Dual - they breed 😆 The oven is the only one I’ve not been that happy with. It cooked perfectly and super fast but it was the cleaning aspect. They are ideal for us as DD doesn’t get home from work until 9pm and I used to dread her coming in and firing up the oven for one thing.

Dogs do often get lumps as they older, Usually they are nothing untoward but make sure the vet looks at it when she has her annual check up.

This is the one I ordered and it’s arriving tomorrow. The good thing with Am@zon is if I don’t like it I can send it back no questions asked.

Thank you I thought this might be the case. She has quite a few skin tags too that the vet wasn’t concerned about. I will point out the head lump at the check up if it’s still there.

Thanks for the chickpea tikka recipe, @Sun_Addict - I made vast vat of it but that's okay because it's very tasty.

The new not-Ninja looks very smart and space-efficient, you will have fun putting it through its paces!

Wow that looks good. Do you have them out all the time on worktops? I wouldn’t have enough space.
