You can still get a 'swap out' form (either print it out or ask for one at a Post Office) and change your old stamps for barcoded ones that way. What you can't do is use the older ones on letters from today, but there's currently not an end in sight for being able to exchange old for new.

It does involve the form being sent off, though. I don't think Post Offices can do over the counter swaps.

Not directly but they can provide the form for those who don't have access to a printer. (Of course this depends on access to a Post Office, which is harder than it used to be).

Morning all, happy August. Can't believe how fast this year is flying by!

Mr M grocery shop delivered and packed away. Nice to use the £35 off this week's order.

Today's exercise is dog walking later this morning, bums & tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight.

Tonight's dinner is leftover aubergine and chickpea curry from Saturday.

The final overpayment on the additional borrowing has gone out so next month it will be just what's left outstanding. I need to phone the building society to transfer the £100 overpayment to the mortgage from next month.

I need to start sending money to the regular savers, one of which I can't do until after the 4th of the month.

The balances are getting really low - if you take out the main mortgage cost, you're within a whisker. Very impressive and shows what can be done.  

Re birthdays, actually you will only be 31 days older at the end of the month, it's only the paperwork that's changed.

Thanks S_A, I'm writing that quote in my diary today. I need a reminder too - sometimes I let anxiety get the better of me. I'm happy that your new mini oven works well - I love my ninja. It took me a while to start using it but now that I do I wouldn't be without it.

Don't worry about being a year older. They say "Getting older is a privilege denied to many", and its just a number, it really means nothing. Its all about your mindset and outlook on life. My dad will be 91 this month and his brother has just turned 93. Dad thinks its great that they are both so old....lol.
