We went to the local bigger park. I bought some plants from the garden centre so need to plant them shortly. The dog enjoyed rummaging through the long grass. The oven was delivered just after we got back so that was timed well.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Spent ages clearing the part of the garden earmarked for the new plants. Had to dig up the roots of two rogue bushes which were producing boring looking leaves and no flowers. It was harder work than I envisaged. I also had to move a very heavy paving slab. It was like Love Your Garden without the expertise. Where was Mr SA while the hard work was happening - in bed 😐 He eventually appeared just as I was loading up the wheelbarrow with the bushes and other bits I’d removed and asked if I’d watered in the new plants yet 😐 The dog and cats kept walking over the freshly dug soil 😐 Anyway it looks a lot better now but I think I need a couple more plants to finish it off.I’ve set up the air fryer oven, I don’t need to use it tonight so DD might be the first one to test it out. It looks the business and there’s enough room in it to cook two shelves of food at the same time which is a real plus point. It’s also got a rotisserie. It’s big but fits quite nicely on the worktop. I’ve got all sorts of gadgets on the go at the minute - the slow cooker with Mr SA’s beef in and the soup maker with my carrot, coriander and butterbean soup 😆
The young cat has found a new place to sleep - on my hanging chair underneath the rain cover - it’s like she’s got her own tent 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

Do watch out for ticks when the dog has been rummaging in the long grass and also check yourself if you follow her.

That's Monday done.
Payday 😁🎉 COL payment from work has gone in minus a hefty amount of tax and NI but very welcome all the same. Still need to do the payday shuffle but have made a start by clearing the cc balance off. I've also totted up how much I should have at this point in the year in the various mini sinking fund pots and allocated an amount of £144.70 to those. Will be a smaller amount from now on but at least I'm all caught up. I've got a bit muddled up where I am with the 1p savings challenge so have worked out how much I need to be halfway there and will just add £55.66 a month from next month onwards.
Had enough stamps on my work coffee shop card for a freebie this morning. Not a NSD though as I stopped by L*dl on the way home plus I had to buy a 1st class stamp from the post office as I'd forgotten it's SIL's birthday tomorrow. Hastily wrote out a card and Mr SA has been out to post it in a priority post box. OMG the price of 1st class stamps 😮
Exercise is walking to/from work 15,000 steps.
Tonight's dinner is scampi, swede "fries" and lots of veg.
I need to cash out survey money and finalise tomorrow's Mr M delivery.
It's all go 🤣

Just tested out the new air fryer oven and it’s made a great job of tonight’s dinner - so far so good 👍I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Then they wonder why people no longer send things by post. Just to really annoy me I have just discovered a 1st & a 2nd class stamp unused. I have decided (very un-MSE like) that I really CBA replacing them.

Don’t blame you one bit! I’ve lucked out and found a Christmas stamp so still usable but cannot remember the last time I actually sent a letter!
