Good news for the grocery budget I’ve completed the 4 weeks required for the &More voucher so have £35 off my next Mr M shop
I've got one more to do but it's only £13 of points for me for spending 4 lots of £35.
I had to spend 4 lots of £100 to get it. Although only £85 for me with DD’s discount. Worth doing as I get the bulk of my shopping from there.

I’ve been thinking about your grocery overspend SA - we always stick to budget religiously. We have for years.  There are only 2 of us so £50 covers us for a week, right?

except £50 hasn’t covered us really for the last several months resulting in top up shops that never used to happen.

Food inflation has added I would guess at least 25% to what we used to spend.  We’ve decided to up the budget - sometimes you have to
give yourself a little leeway for situations outside your control.

Thanks for the recipe website link! The Tuscan Bean soup looks nice - for me that's a late summer recipe as I used to make it then - enabling us to stay out of doors a bit longer. :) No reason not to have it sooner, I tell myself. After a rain-sodden day today it would have been a good antidote. :)

You are doing so well - all your attention to detail pays off massively.

Sounds like the Universe is shining down on you financially at the moment. Great news.
Surprised you found blackberries to pick already, I was looking at the ones locally this morning when I went for my walk and they are nowhere near ready yet. You must have had more sunshine that us....lol.

That’s Thursday done. Have been in the office today and met my work friends for a catch up at lunchtime which was lovely. It’s felt quite nice to be free of Mr SA for the day although there were a few phone calls from him asking what time I was coming home.

On the way home from work there were flying ants everywhere! Had to keep fishing them out of my hair!

Stopped off at L!dl and was pleased to see it’s Asian week so have stocked up on various bits including the frozen edamame beans that I love. Have earned a voucher for free ice cream - didn’t it used to be £2 off when you reach £100 spend in a month 🤔 I’d rather have £2 off as I don’t really eat ice cream.

Exercise is walking to/from work 18,000 steps plus Zumba at 7pm which will take it well over 20,000.

Tonight’s dinner is a portion of veggie lasagne from the freezer with salad.

Whenever anything goes well finance wise you can guarantee something will happen that wipes out any extra money. I’m always wary of getting too excited.

The blackberries in my garden aren’t ripe yet but are on the park which is strange as it’s literally across the road.

We have loads of blackberries in the park we walk the dog in and some are large and ripe but an awful lot are small and green. It depends which side of the bushes they are on. I dont think there will be a lot of nice juicy ones due to the lck of rain earlier in the year.

Park cleaner comment made me smile. Well done with the blackberries.
Tuscan bean soup sounds yum  :)
