The deed is done and we’re back home although it took several different shops before he found the perfect pair in MnS. He ended up with a shirt, t-shirt and shorts too. He’s happy with his haul but then decided he desperately needs a necklace like Spider’s in Corrie 🤔😐 I refused to go in any more shops so have promised him I’ll find him one online. We had a nice lunch in Rev0lution. Great deal lunch including a soft drink for £4.49 or beer £4.99. I had c0ke zero plus a large glass of red. The whole bill was only £17 which is brilliant for the city centre. My feet are killing me, have done 24,000 steps so far and I still need to go back out to the hairdressers in a bit. I can’t wait to have a long soak in the bath and put my feet up later.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

A successful trip, @Sun_Addict. I must admit I found myself wondering earlier this afternoon when there was another absolute deluge here, whether you were going to be trogging around the shops getting wetter & wetter in your search for canvas shoes. I know we are 17 miles or so from the city centre, but it's been one showery day here! Lunch was indeed good value.

We were lucky to just miss the heavy shower @foxgloves. There was another downpour just before I set off for the hairdressers and I missed that one too - just.Managed to get two loads of washing dry despite the heavy showers so lots of ironing for me tomorrow.Today’s exercise was walking to/from town and round many shops 27,038 steps.Tonight’s dinner was Mediterranean cod. I must say the chickpea masala I made last night was the best curry I’ve ever made, it was absolutely gorgeous 😋 I only made two portions as the recipe made 8 and I just don’t have enough room in the freezer. It worked out at 55p a portion.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

I feel tired just hearing how far you've walked, SA! I'm glad you got the things for Mr SA.
I've just bookmarked the chickpea masala on your recommendation. It sounds just the sort of thing I'd like, and quite possibly DH would too. I won't get chance to try it this week as we're away but I'll treat us when we get home.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
