Happy Saturday 🥂
Have spent the best part of the day clearing and cleaning the greenhouse. I completely emptied it, jet washed it and threw loads of stuff out. We had so many plant pots, had a good cull of them, there’s only so many we can use. It looks so much better now. Also got rid of DD’s old computer desk we were using in the greenhouse, it had started to warp and taking up too much space. I’ll get the council to pick it up along with Mr SA’s old chair as it’s the same price for them to pick up two things as one.
Getting there with restoring the garden, it’s definitely looking a lot tidier now.
The Christmas tree is still going strong and has barely shed any needles. I’m trying to keep it going until next Christmas 😆 The plus side of keeping it outside.Exercise wise there was an unexpected live Zumba class on my WW app this morning so did that followed by dog walking on the park.
No shopping today as I picked up weekend supplies yesterday. It was so nice not to have to trek to the big Mr T.
Tonight’s dinner is falafel with homemade coriander and lime hummus in a flatbread with sweet potato wedges and salad.Pink Prosecco chilling in the fridge for later 🙂

So impressed by the greenhouse clear-out!
What's lined up to watch/read with the prosecco now MS isn't on? 😁

Another busy day.
Today’s garden doings were weeding and a bit of chopping back bushes. The garden waste bin is now almost full ready for collection on Tuesday.
Pottered about the house doing odd bits of cleaning including the kitchen and bathroom.
Two loads of washing dried and ironed.
A no spends day 🥳Made a batch of leek and potato soup for work lunches.
Sorted out some spices and decanted them into jars from packets. Made a batch of gunpowder spice for tonight’s curry.
Today’s exercise was dog walking and gardening just over 11,000 steps.Tonight’s dinner was gunpowder spiced cauliflower and lentil curry.
Mr SA is on the alcohol free beer tonight ahead of tomorrow’s liver scan. Wheelchair has been retrieved from the shed despite him thinking it would be easier for him to walk to the bus stop using his stroller, let’s not even think about that scenario 🫣

Hope it all goes well tomorrow.
Leek and potato soup sounds yum

They’ve already decided the cyst on his liver is too small to be of concern so I really can’t see why this extra scan is necessary. Meanwhile he’s been waiting for an IBD appointment since last July 😡

Morning all, another new week started.
Two MSE things already done so far. Activated the free coffee code in the 🐙 app and have bought a group rider bus ticket for this morning’s trip to the hospital. The ticket will still be valid for travelling to work tomorrow morning which will be handy as I’m meeting a friend at lunchtime and have quite a few books for her.
Mr SA is super stressed when there’s no need. I’ve promised him lunch out in the city centre afterwards. It will be interesting to see how I fare with him and the wheelchair on the bus. If it works well it means we could catch a bus to the river now and again for a change of scenery.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Hope the wheelchair trial works well for you & hospital visit isn't too stressful.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!2 -
I hope the bus trip works out well, ditto the scan. I feel for you coping with his stress. In a few hours it will be behind you both and you can get on with normality.
