Hospital trip done ✔️ Got there in plenty of time and he was called in early for the scan. Unfortunately the machine wasn’t able to pick anything up so he had to go for a blood test. It was one of those drop in centres where you take a ticket and wait for your number to be called. It was really busy but we were only waiting about 30 minutes.
Mr SA wanted to go to Primani when we got to the city centre so he’s ended up with 2 pairs of joggers and a zip up top.
After that we went for lunch. Mr SA was really hungry as he didn’t get up early enough for breakfast.
Pushing the wheelchair was ok on the flat but tougher on inclines. I wouldn’t want to do it on a regular basis that’s for sure. It all worked well though so it would be fine for the odd trip out.
We took the dog on the park when we got home then Mr SA went for his siesta.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Well done getting through a bit of a trying day, glad the wheelchair is an option for occasional use

Glad the trip went ok, and hopefully the blood test didn't pick up anything nasty. I bet Mr SA really enjoyed his lunch after no breakfast.

Morning all, happy hump day.
WFH today, glad to be back to normal routine after the past few days being out of it.
Finished work early yesterday and met up with my friend I swap books with. We have a good catch, I gave her 9 books and she gave me 4. She also bought me a bunch of daffodils which was a lovely surprise.
Mid week finance check done and cc balance cleared. It's the final week of the 4 week budget period and all looking good to have an underspend.
I've got a Mr M delivery coming this afternoon so plan to take an hour's lunchbreak and tag this onto giving the kitchen a good clean.
Today's exercise plan is yoga (done), dog walking, FitOn strength training and a Zumba class on YT as the live one isn't on tonight.
Tonight's dinner is leftover satay style aubergine and chickpea stew from Monday.
To do:
- Contact tree surgeon
- Gold sale - I'm going to send this by post as the envelope still hasn't arrived (if indeed I ordered one), I have all the required information to do this.
- Renew senior railcard via Mr T clubcard deals
Mr SA's phone insurance doesn't look like an option as it's a refurbished phone provided by the insurers and to start from scratch with a new insurance company they want receipts etc. It's hard to explain but as he's claimed so many times on the Mr T insurance he's no longer insured. So the plan is to send what would've been the phone insurance payment to the tech pot and if he breaks this one he'll have to have a new phone (I won't tell him this as he'd probably break it just to get a new phone). Honestly he's a nightmare with phones 😔

What does he do that breaks the phones? Would a better phone case work? I have a colleague who has run his phone over with his car and the case didn't even have a dent… so there are options out there.

I suspect that the iphone insurance will have the usual requirement that you declare any refusal to insure so it won't be possible to easily obtain a new policy.

I've bought him various cases over the years, including a really tough one. He keeps taking his phone out of the case, putting it in his pocket and either dropping it and smashing the screen or in one instance completely crushing it when he got too close to a wall on his scooter and it was in his pocket. I've warned him that if I see his phone out of the current case and it breaks he's not getting a new phone. In contrast, I have every phone I've ever owned in pristine condition.
