Utterly crazy logic from the council isn't it - it would be far more sensible to set the price for the service at a level to make it useable for people, but that is never going to happen eh!

Or the reason why there are so many phone repair shops 😂 My DIL has only recently succumbed to a phone case after several cracked screen replacements. Thanks for the link, will take a look.

Our neighbour has been out in his garden since this morning building a 'structure'. This has had a knock-on effect of spurring Mr SA on to do something in our garden and he's cadged some bricks from the neighbour and edged off an area of soil that I'd earmarked for wild flowers and the cats had earmarked for a giant litter tray. It looks a lot nicer now and is ready for the seeds to be sown next month, provided I keep on top of removing the 💩
That’s the good news. In déjà vu news, Mr SA has done nothing but pester for a necklace with either a cross or a bullet on. I seem to recall this happening around this time last year and possibly the year before that 🤔He’d been scrolling on his phone and showed me a photo of a ‘surfer boy beaded pendant with cross’ on eBay. It's ‘exactly what he’s always wanted’ and ‘as he hasn’t got much time left’ I have to buy it for him before he pegs it. I tried to make him see that a surfer boy beaded pendant probably isn’t the best look on an almost 61 year old man who has never been anywhere near a surf board but he wasn’t having any of it. As it was only £10.90 I ordered it.
What will the next pester be I wonder?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Oh SA! But for £10.90 I think wise to pick your battles and let him have it. I guess he did a helpful job with the brick edging, so perhaps in this case he deserves it. Well done as ever for all your fortitude! X

Tell him you've booked him surfing lessons on your next holiday to go with his new image :)

… also I am a barely fifty-year-old with my phone in a magcase and with a cross-body lanyard (I dropped my phone too often when walking the dog) and very stylish with it. I think.

Oh no. Whatever next. Will he actually wear it?
