Tell him if you wanted to trade him in for a younger model, it would be a 2020s version not a 70s throwback…

Just a word of warning, if you went for the bullet option he won’t be able to wear it on your next holiday. A younger relative got taken aside in the security queue at the airport, questioned and then came back to us rather ruefully mourning the loss of their bullet key ring! I mean you can probably pack it in hold luggage, but definitely don’t wear it on the journey.

You have the patience of a saint and Mr SA has been sent to truly try it.
I haven't seen anyone with a phone without a case for years (the exception being the rugged phones mentioned above).
When Mr SA grows tired of his necklace are you going to squirrel it away so it can be "bought" again when the pestering resumes.

This is what I told him. Someone on here pointed this out last time he had a bullet necklace pester.

The thing is he breaks them and that is why I am yet again buying him another necklace with a cross. I'm pretty certain I bought him one this time last year.

Morning all, finally Friday although the week has flown by.
I'm in the office today but finishing at lunchtime. I'm exhausted. I'm so ready for the Easter break.
Realised we go on holiday 4 weeks on Monday so one job for the Easter weekend is to get out the suitcases and the holiday clothes. Mr SA reckons he doesn't need anything - I've heard that one before 😄
The random pesters always start in the build up to his birthday as anything he comes up with is badged as 'it's for my birthday'. I'd love to know where he gets his ideas from. He has far too much time on his hands to scroll on his phone looking at random websites. Thankfully he doesn't know how to buy anything online.
When I've finished work I need to pick up an Easter egg for DGS in case they visit this weekend. DGD doesn't particularly like chocolate and asked for money instead. I refused as I don't mind giving money for birthdays and, at a push Christmas, but draw the line at Easter. I'll get her a couple of pamper type products instead, maybe make her up a little goody bag. DGS is very particular about the brand of egg, he only likes certain brands of chocolate!

Well I didn’t get away from work as early as I wanted due to an urgent media request coming in with a very short timeframe 😖 Anyway all sorted and eventually logged off. This is just one of the many things I won’t miss when I retire.
No success with DGS’s Easter egg. Who knew it would be so hard to source a Maltesers Easter egg with normal Maltesers in it not the teasers or bunnies 😞 On the plus side DGD’s pamper bag is sorted.
Booked in the council collection of the armchair so that was £25 spent.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Afternoon all, happy Saturday 🥂
What a squally day. Very windy then one minute sunny the next rain.
Got two loads of washing dry so that’s a definite bonus.
Went to the big Mr T with the soft plastics recycling and finally got DGS’s Easter egg, although it was probably the only one not on offer. No visit from DS and the GKs today but glad the Easter goodies are bought and ready for next week.
Finally cashed out £50 from YG and just 90p away from cashing out £25 with Opinium 🥳 There’ll be £20 or so to cash out from PA and about £10 from TCB. This will be earmarked for my holiday fritter fund.
Tonight is pizza and Prosecco night 🥂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Yes, isn't it unpredictable weather here today? I started off in the garden wrapped up in my fleece, 10 mins later, was chucking it off & was even too warm just in my 3/4 length sleeve dress! Have still bubblewrapped seedlings for tonight though as it's bound to drop cold again.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!2
