Happy Saturday 🥂
Epic Trekking Trip about to begin. We’re going to the retail park for a number of things, none of them interesting but need to be done. I need to make a list so I don’t forget anything.
See you later.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

I am absolutely shattered 🥱
19,818 steps done in one go.
So…First stop Mr T with the soft plastics recycling and to pick up a few bits.
Then on to the retail park. Picked up flea/worming treatment for the dog and cat from the vets, bought the dog a new collar and she had a pack of free treats to celebrate her 14th birthday. Weighed the dog on the vet’s scales and she’s lost a kilo which is good.
Then on to Gr£ggs for Mr SA’s coffee and sausage roll.
Dropped off 2 bags of coffee pods for recycling at Mr M.
Next stop BnM, it was SO busy. People in the queues shouting they need to get more people on the tills 😐 This resulted in someone coming away with an application form for a job there 😆 I didn’t want much apparently, £42 later…However have got some fab tat/stuff for my sunbathing area in the garden. Already argued with Mr SA about an impulse purchase cocktail glass shaped garden/plant pot table that will be perfect as a drinks table next to my sun lounger but he thinks should be on show on the patio 😐 Not happening by the way, it’s my table, I spotted it and queued up with it, I get to decide where it goes 💪
Apparently BnQ don’t sell drainpipes so that visit was unsuccessful 😞 This was to replace the drainpipe that Mr SA keeps crashing his scooter into.
Got home and had to cook lunch as Mr SA was ‘starving’ despite the huge sausage roll.
Mr SA and the dog have gone back to bed. I’ve been sitting with my feet up on the sofa reading.

That is a busy day! Quite right to keep your table, he can go and get his own.
😂 at the customer coming away with a job application form, good for them

Have you tried Screwfix for the pipe? You could check online to see if they stock what you are looking for.

Mr SA has ‘mended’ the pipe so not an immediate need now - or at least until the next time he crashes his scooter into it.

And that’s another weekend almost done 😭
I’ve had a fairly productive day today.
Took the dog on the park this morning then came home and made a start on jobs. I made a batch of carrot, coriander and butterbean soup for work lunches. Trying a new recipe for tonight’s dinner from the March Mr T magazine - spiced lentil shepherd-less pie. I’ve made two portions so there’s one for Tuesday’s dinner. Can’t comment how it tastes yet as I’ve only prepped it not cooked or tasted it.
After lunch (leftover pizza and salad from last night) Mr SA went for his siesta so I gave the living room a good clean. Yet more sticky brown patches round/under his chair - possibly spilled beer/coffee/cola 😞After that gave the kitchen a good clean. Typically Mr SA appeared just as I’d finished mopping the floor and started faffing about outside, constantly coming in and out of the door.
Now we didn’t need a crystal ball to see this one coming - he bought himself another man bag yesterday from a local shop! No surprises as I think the seed was sown in his mind a few days ago when he was after my old running bag.
Plenty of Prosecco left for tonight as I fell asleep before I’d finished the first glass 🥂Money wise it’s been a NSD.
Going to do a yoga session next then relax in the bath with candles and a face pack.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Morning all, happy Monday, here we go again.
Unexpected WFH day as the boiler isn't working so we have no hot water or heating. It wasn't working yesterday when I got up but I got it working again by repressuring it and pressing buttons randomly. This morning the pressure had dropped to zero again and despite repressuring it I can't get it working today. An engineer is coming out this afternoon.
Of course I would pick last night to put an overnight hair mask on which now won't get washed off until this afternoon at the earliest. At least my hair will be well conditioned!
Monday finance check done and cc balance cleared. It will probably be another NSD as no Lid! on the way home from work today.
Today's exercise plan is yoga this morning, dog walking this morning, a live aerobics session at 6pm and live strength training at 7.15.
Tonight's dinner is leftover Thai red lentil curry with rice.
