Well it hasn't been a NSD so far as I've renewed the garden waste service for another year. Thankfully they've kept the cost the same as last year.
Took the dog on the park but it was bitterly cold over there so we didn't stay long.
Whether I go to the meeting tonight will be a case of if I feel like it, what the weather's doing and whether I've finished cooking/clearing up in time to set off to be there for 7. To be honest once I've done a day's work, cooked, cleaned and sorted Mr SA out all I want to do is put my feet up.

Forgot to say I used AI for the first time to take minutes of a meeting. The results were interesting 🤔The AI notes will be useful as a reminder but have assigned a load of actions to attendees which didn't happen in the meeting. Thankfully I also took my own notes.

I've used it a bit in an attempt to make materials for use with pre-schoolers - results were interesting! I learned that the more precise my initial instructions are, the better the result. The trouble with this is that I'm also learning, so my requested picture to colour of (say) a shepherd with a lamb, needs to specify appropriate clothing, whether whether lifelike or cartoon style, whether it's set in a farm and if so what's the farm like, etc. I probably want 'a man in first century clothing' rather than one man and his dog. Unless I'm doing a modern setting.
I get a lot of amusement from automatic text on the TV, but it's not what you want in a meeting!

I find a huge amount of errors in AI. Interesting little bit in the weekend Guardian or Observer about how inaccurate it can be in answering queries about pensions. I wouldn't use it for that but I think plenty of people wouldn't notice it's an AI article.

I still use my WW app to track food, despite being at goal, and you can take a photo of your meal and ask AI to work out points/macros etc. It's not too bad at recognising food to be honest and WW have said the more you use it the more accurate it will get. Out of interest I used it to track a huge pizza when I was on holiday and it decided it was half an M&S pizza with quite a favourable calorie/points count so I thought ok I'll take that 🤣

The built-in meeting notes/action prompts in Outlook can be … variable… although it has stopped picking up quite so much on every mention of coffee ;)
The trick is to learn how to write prompts (for some reason this is called 'prompt engineering' which seems to me like an attempt to make it sound difficult/important). You can't ask AI anything vague or open. It has to be precise. So for @Cherryfudge's request you'd start with 'You are a pre-school teacher working with children aged 2-4 in the UK. They are learning about agriculture. Please create a simple outline drawing of a shepherd with a sheep dog and sheep, on a grassy hill with sunshine and clouds in the sky, suitable for colouring in by children with poor motor skills." Please provide three options explaining the rationale behind the choices made in each, and provide details of further information needed to refine the selection." Or something like that…
Always ask AI to justify what it is telling you…

that’s a really good tip greenbee. I can well imagine why people would have problems with using AI to make pension decisions - if it’s anything like as inaccurate as it apparently is for all things legal, it would be a recipe for disaster!

And always ask it to link to sources… having said that, I've just had something that referenced a product description on ebay as 'evidence' for something…

@greenbee, thanks - I'm learning. 😁 You should have seen the difficulty it had when I asked for a quotation to be put into angular bubble writing suitable for colouring in. It took fifteen goes before we reached a compromise on the style of writing - each time, words dropped out, letters dropped out, the quotation missed a phrase or stopped short of the end, the font changed…
I am quite proud of myself for never having addressed it as 'you stupid machine'. A bit of me feels I might give it a complex.

I like that - you can have your pizza guilt free!
Do you find you can 'hear/see' it learning on Duolingo? When I say a new word I often find it accepts the rest of the sentence first then thinks about what I've said and generally decides it will 'do', so the new word pops in last.
