Afternoon all.
Worked in the office this morning, now back home to finish my day. That's the worst part of the working week over for me, no more office days until Friday.
What a beautiful sunny day although very cold. Pegged some washing out when I got back home, doubt it will dry but worth a try.
Had a quick glance in Lid! when I passed by but couldn't see any veg boxes. I didn't need anything so no point in going properly inside then having the faff of getting back out without scanning a receipt.
So it's a NSD today.
Mr SA was having a panic when I got home as he couldn't find his lip balm. He'd also had an accident earlier and had stashed his soiled joggers outside😐
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and I'm doing a live resistance bands session tonight.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of veggie paella that has been lurking in the freezer for some time.
Thanks to Mr SA today's cleaning task is the bathroom.

Honestly, @Sun_Addict, I don't know how you do it with all this extra cleaning up.
And well done for trying a laundry peg-out. I wish I had thought to peg yesterday's half dry load out for a bit of fresh air first thing but I was so keen to get started on a gardening job that it didn't occur to me. So nice to have blue sky & sunshine today, isn't it? I think it has been grey in our neck of the woods pretty much all year so far.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!2 -
I've had a nice surprise this afternoon and have been awarded a gift voucher for covering for a colleague when she was unexpectedly off.
So it's not all cleaning 💩🤣

Congrats on the voucher, what a nice surprise.
I put my washing out and it dried about 99%. Just a bit damp, and now on the airer, and will be done in half hour I reckon and ready for the airing cupboard.

Morning all, happy hump day.
WFH today so a nice relaxing start to the day. Read some of my book, did some Spanish and the Mr M delivery arrived so that was all put away.
Just done a live yoga session so feel nice and stretched out now.
Got a busy day today as I have the dentist at 11 then I'm having my nails done later. DD is at work but unfortunately I won't have time to take advantage and get some cleaning done as I have to work in amongst all this.
Today's exercise is yoga (done), dog walking, walking to/from dentists then back again to the beauty salon later and live Zumba tonight.
Tonight's dinner is another new recipe from the Bosh Healthy Vegan cookbook it's basically a veggie sausage and bean stew.
Mid-week finance check done and an oddment of £1.10 has gone to the Christmas pot. Transferred the holiday balance from the holiday pot and cleared the cc balance.
Caught Mr SA looking for extra beer last night despite him having only just got his quota for the night! I'm so fed up of this constant battle with him, it's so frustrating. As it happened he had the last of the cans so however hard he looked he wouldn't find any. I'm going to have to go back to hiding them in the storage box upstairs again as that's one place he didn't think of looking, although it was a faff for me getting them out every night. I think for him it's more about him getting one over on me rather than scoring an extra beer.

How maddening for you - and the extra hassle of getting them out of hiding instead of just out of the cupboard, without him spotting where they went.
Could you create a decoy stash, with a beer he's not keen on, or a/f? Or perhaps that's already been done.
We all sympathise!

Beer he doesn't like/AF beer he'd still take but mix with the beer he likes which would just be a waste. He's just gone out with the dog so I've left tonight's ration downstairs and hidden the rest. It means I'll have to wait until he goes out each day to retrieve that day's allowance.
I hope no one thinks I'm being controlling by doing this but he has a limit he can drink before it has an adverse effect on him and it's me who has to deal with the fallout.
