In fairness I'm not surprised MrSA is complaining about having to go to the dentist - I think most people wouldn't be delighted about it! 😂
You've reminded me I need to chase the quote for our new steps - thanks for that!

Sorry to be contrary, I'll happily go to the dentist but visiting the hairdressers is a thing of nightmares 😆

I’m with you Baileys Babe. I’m slightly better than I used to be as I have a mobile hairdresser coming to the house….but going in a salon is stuff of nightmares…

Sorry you feel this way, but also relieved I'm not the only one.

That's one of the reasons I only have a trim these days. I can't sit still for long enough to have any further hair faff!

Hope dentist went okay. Glad Mr SA's chair is better for him. Are you worried about the 20p conversation?
Definitely prioritise getting the jet washer checked before customer services start getting snotty

I hate going to the hairdressers too 😆 In fact I hate any sort of appointment where I have to be somewhere for a set time. It must be all these years of working flexible hours. I only ever have a trim and blow dry at the hairdressers and I always tell him not to faff about and just get it done. That’s why I colour my hair myself. I couldn’t bear to be sat in a chair for hours on end.
I’m not particularly worried about the 20p confusion at the moment @PennysIntoPounds although I’m always alert to anything out of the ordinary. When he first started with the brain tumour he used to say some very odd things. It’s hard to tell whether it’s the brain injury or something more sinister as he comes out with some bizarre stuff at times.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Afternoon all, happy Friday 🙂
What a horrible day. I managed to avoid the rain on the walk to work but got caught in it on the way home. Instead of my usual Friday early finish I'm WFH this afternoon so I can do the new (ish) live Zumba class later.
On the way home I picked up my click & collect from MnS (sports bras), the W@itr0se free paper then stopped off at Lid!. Mr SA didn't want to come out in the rain so I just picked up things needed for the weekend, the heavier stuff can wait until Monday. I've triggered the next milestone on the Lid! app for free biscuits which I'll put in the work food bank box. I've also got a free item on the bakery spin wheel.
Talking of the work foodbank box, I dropped off some bottles of fruit shoot that I bought at Christmas for DGS and he won't drink despite assuring me he likes them. No point in them going out of date when someone else could use them. That can count as my decluttering for the day because they were taking up space in a cupboard. Mental note not to bother buying them for him again!
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work, the Zumba class later and I'll do a short yoga stretching session from the FitOn app before I jump in the bath.
Tonight's dinner is Satay Style Aubergine Stew from Ella Mills Quick Wins cookbook. I've made this before and it was delicious plus I have an aubergine from the Lid! veg box to use up. The teriyaki tofu I made last night from the Lid! recipe was extremely tasty, I'll definitely make that one again.

Happy Friday to you too 😊
Good thinking on the fruit shoots.
How are you finding the Mr L box? Do you think you will go back to the other veg box?

On the Mr L box front, the last two I had were brilliant. They've really upped their game and there seem to be more of them with a good selection of items - they must've got someone new filling them as they used to be full of mainly the same thing before. I don't know if I'll go back to the expensive veg box to be honest.
