Well I wouldn’t buy the taco shells again. They were ok. Still have 6 to use up and a box of stand and stuff taco boats 😬 To be honest if the taco boats aren’t out of date I think I’ll put them in the food bank box at work.
On the store cupboard front, having almost cleared one cupboard and it looking a lot neater, DD has done a big shop and filled it back up again 😐

I would put them in the Foodbank box anyway. At the Foodbank we just ensure that baby food is in date, otherwise customers can check and decide for themselves.

That’s good to know, thank you. Our workplace tend to request specific basic things for the food bank but I put the odd treat item in there and hope someone enjoys them.

Here we are at Smonday again 😭
I had grand plans today but didn’t get everything done.
Took the dog on the park and did a small litter pick. Not much litter to be honest as it’s rained most of the time since I was last on there.
Made some banana, oat and raisin bites out of precisely those 3 ingredients plus some cinnamon. They’re very tasty and will go well with my morning coffee break.Made a batch of roast tomato, red pepper, red onion and basil soup using some of the Lid! veg box leftovers. On the veg box front cancelled Tuesday’s delivery as I have plenty of veg in stock.
Did some more kitchen cupboard decluttering and listing of contents. A couple of bits of extremely out of date stuff was binned.
I was about to start cleaning the kitchen when Mr SA suddenly emerged from his lunchtime nap and started faffing about in there. Then DD returned from work and headed straight there so gave up 😖Tonight’s dinner was Sri Lankan curry from the Bosh Healthy Vegan cookbook. It was very tasty indeed. I made two portions so one for Tuesday’s dinner.
Did a FitOn yoga session then had a lovely soak in the bath with candles and a face mask.Got back downstairs feeling all relaxed to find Mr SA emerging from the living room with a mop. He’d spilled a full glass of beer all over the floor 😞On the plus side at least he’d made an attempt to clear it up.
Nothing spent today so another NSD.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
That is a definite plus side, and that it was his beer and not your wine!

Afternoon all, happy Monday.
I really didn't feel like trekking out in the dark this morning but I pushed on. It was so tempting to WFH but I knew I'd have to make the office day up another day so I persevered. Seems like others might've felt the same as the office was really empty. I packed up at 11 and am now WFH.
How weird is this - when I arrived at the office this morning I had a small panic when I thought I'd forgotten my security pass. I was thinking that I'd probably have to sit in reception and wait until someone I knew appeared and signed me in. When I got to reception there was someone I know sitting there waiting to see someone she knew to sign her in as she'd forgotten her pass!
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home and picked up the free sack of potatoes and the free croissant. On the way out they were just putting out loads of veg boxes so I asked the assistance if I could have one and she got a checkout colleague to put it through for me. I'm really pleased with the box it's got loads of good stuff in it: apples, pears, satsumas, a banana, 2 avocados, 2 huge potatoes, mini cucumbers, spring onions, tomatoes, lettuce, green beans, an aubergine and 2 courgettes. So glad I skipped my veg box delivery tomorrow.
Did the usual Monday finance check and paid off the cc balance. An oddment of £3.03 has gone to the Christmas pot.
Tonight's dinner is using up a kit thing I bought from MnS ages ago for 20p. It's a cherry tomato orzotto herb/spice mix.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and live strength training at 7.15.
I need to give the living room floor a proper mop after Mr SA's spillages last night so need to fit that in when he's not sitting in there watching TV.
As the weather is so lovely and sunny this afternoon I pegged out some washing and could actually feel a bit of warmth in the sun. It certainly makes a welcome change from all the rain.

Forgot to add another MSE related thing. I downloaded the H&B app and found I had £5 on my loyalty card I didn't know about. It asked me to complete my profile by answering 2 questions and I got another £2. So £7 to spend I didn't know I had 😁

It's because they have just re-launched their loyalty card scheme. I think the £5 of points was to highlight the new improved scheme. Spent mine on Saturday.

I was pleased to find the H n B bonus money too. The staff in our local branch are lovely and greet MrBC by name because he always chats to them about vitamins and supplements. I usually get on with choosing what we need while he yakkety yaks.
