I’m so cross right now. I finally got to sit down with a glass of wine at 8pm. I hadn’t been sitting long before the older cat decided to be sick in the hallway. So off I went to clear that up. I could hear Mr SA doing his quick shuffling in the background which usually means he’s up to something. Finally got back to the sofa to find a good portion of my wine was missing and Mr SA’s beer was decidedly red in colour.
He’s denied everything of course which is very frustrating. Funnily enough I’ve noticed his empty beer glass has had a reddish tint on a couple of occasions recently so it’s obvious this isn’t the first time.
So now I can’t even leave a glass of wine unattended 😡 It’s so annoying when you’ve got someone constantly working against you.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Oh that's so sneaky! And extra upsetting when you were doing a nasty job, and had to come back to your treat being depleted.
How about a decoy wine glass of blackcurrant? Mind you - I wouldn't think beer with wine was particularly nice (never tried it) so it could be more the 'getting one over you' than the actual drink. ☹️

Even better - a wine glass with water in it coloured with beetroot juice!

Beer with red wine in it? That can't be very nice, so I assume it was the opportunity to be a bit 'naughty' which appealed, as it seems quite a childlike thing to do. I'd be tempted to leave a wine glass of neat red wine vinegar next to my chair. Thank goodness you can come on here & have a moan abour it, as I think daily life with Mr SA would try the patience of a saint.

Morning all, happy Friday.
Thank you for your kind comments and listening to me moan. I don't really have anyone else I can let off steam to. I can only think he did it because it's 'naughty' because I can't imagine what it must taste like. I could understand it more if he'd just had a sneaky swig from my glass.
Anyway…
Had to get the bus to work again this morning as the rain is torrential at the moment. Stopped off at Ner0 for the free weekly coffee and gained another stamp on my card for using my own cup. I only need one more stamp and I've had enough free coffees to earn another free coffee 😆
Lid! have sent me a £5 off £40 spend which I will definitely be able to use today as I'd planned to pick up a mini contact grill/panini press as well as quite a lot of groceries. I dropped my little grill/panini press a few weeks ago and the lid smashed so I've been looking to replace it.
The dog had 💩in my home office this morning and I trod in it when I went in there to fetch my laptop. So I had that to clean up plus my slippers. She must've been desperate bless her. I must start getting her up at the same time as me and letting her out.
I'm working in the office until 11 then going home via Lid! and finishing up at home. I want to do the live Zumba class this afternoon so will work later to offset taking time out for that. I can then log off and jump straight in the bath.

Eeeek to slippers in the dog poo. I'd have had to bin them!
Yes, don't we have torrential rain in our neck of the woods today, & it's set for most of the day followed by showers all week. I shall be keeping an eye on river levels. Just squidged down to the shed to fetch cat litter, as I can't see Soot venturing out in this.
Plenty of indoor tasks to do today, though. Mostly cleaning.

Lid! shop done and it's fair to say I spent well over £40 so got the £5 off. However I bought the grill/panini press and also a spin mop and bucket so those two items alone came to almost £35. Mr SA was reluctant to come out to take the shopping from me but I made him come out reminding him he rarely does me any favours so it's time he did. It was pouring with rain so we got soaked. Mr SA went speeding off ahead on his scooter and one of the shopping bags tipped over scattering the contents in his wake. I had to shout him back as I didn't have a bag to put the things in. Fortunately nothing was damaged. Free muffin picked up for Mr SA, I'll pick up the free croissant next week. Now qualified for the free vegetable item so will use that on a sack of potatoes as we're about ready for some more. I won't need much else from there until next Friday now as I picked up everything I would've picked up in the week and took advantage of some of the 15% off coupons on things I buy regularly. Resisted the rice though 🤣
DD has paid her board so that's been moved to the holiday pot. An oddment of £2 has gone to the Christmas pot.
