Good for you on the self care plans
Your soups have inspired me. I'm trying to eat more of what I already have so a dhal is going to have stock added, a few mushrooms and a grated carrot thrown in and turned into a lentil and veggie soup.

You've inspired me too! Veg soup for lunch, hopefully using up some strays that need to go.

Afternoon all.
Worked in the office until late morning then came home to finish up. Stopped off at Lid! on the way home and redeemed the coupon for the free deodorant. Finally managed to get one of the veg boxes! The shop was very quiet so I asked an assistant at the self checkout how you can buy them now they've moved to such an awkward place. He was really helpful and held the barrier open for me while I picked one up and brought it back to the checkout. It's jam packed with all sorts. I haven't had time to look at it properly yet as I've been so busy from when I got back home to just now.
Mr SA has been nil by mouth since 9am as it's his liver/abdominal scan this afternoon. He should be back soon. He hasn't had to go far just a local clinic.
It's the start of the new 4 week budget period today and last month's groceries/alcohol budget ended on a whopping £127.84 underspend. £7.84 has gone to the Christmas pot and £120 to the stock up pot. Really pleased with that outcome.
Across the other spending pots: Mr SA's personal spends £26.08 underspend, £6.08 to the Christmas pot and £20 back to Mr SA's master personal spends pot. Nothing was spent from the entertainment pot so all £50 has gone into the master entertainment pot. House/garden had an underspend of £53.69 so £3.69 to Christmas and £50 to the house/garden master pot.
£200 sent to the NW regular saver but I still need to top the others up.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and strength training tonight.
Using up a portion of veggie lasagne from freezer stocks for tonight's dinner with a salad.
Things happening this week: Mr SA's scan today, the young cat has her annual check up on Thursday and a 6 months regular saver matures on Thursday (holiday pot).
@doingitanyway @Cherryfudge I make a different soup every week for my work lunches, have done so for years. I like to make a big batch on Sundays ready for the week ahead. I usually have a couple of crispbreads with cottage cheese with it and it feels like a really substantial filling meal.

He had to have the scan as his liver blood test came back abnormal but the GP said this is most likely chemo damage. They wouldn’t have bothered normally but it’s because of his cholesterol being high and they can’t give him meds for it with an abnormal liver test. He should get the results in 7-10 days.

Hope all comes back clear.
How did you manage to keep Mr SA at Nil by Mouth for that long?????😎
