Happy Sunday!
I'm trying to get' back on top of things, I feel like I slipped with organisation over the last few weeks. I've updated my lists with everything that's going on at school over the next few weeks. Booked little miss into clubs for next half term. Checked her swimming level and she's only got one thing to do to end this level. Hopefully they can get that ticked off soon and she'll complete. She's swimming at school next half term and it's on the same day as her lessons so it would be good if she didn't have to go twice in one day! She's also said she'd like to stop for now. I always said as long as they could swim at least 2 lengths without stopping then they can choose whether they go or not, and she can, so if she wants to stop for now I'll let her. It will be nice to have that £35 a month back, but we'll still go family swimming now and again.
I've done 15 listings for DH and convinced him to convert all his existing listings to BIN so we don't waste all his listing allowance relisting. He's planning on going through them over half term anyway. We sold one item yesterday so that was posted as well.
I'm trying to get back into the habit of doing one thing to improve the house each day. That might be cleaning something, decluttering something, tidying something. Even just one small thing that will make a difference. It will eventually add up, and makes me feel like I've achieved something even if I do nothing else!
Boiler was sorted in the week, just needed something tightening. That's good and no cost as still under warranty. I'll need to get in touch with them soon for the service as they offered a free one for the inconvenience of moving the installation dates last year. That's another month or so away.
DH has booked my new windscreen for my car. It's over £100 less than a national company was quoting so that's good. It will be nice to have it done especially if I need to start commuting again.
I do need to get back in the habit of surveys and get that extra cash trickling in again.
Heading to a supermarket in a minute as we have a £5 voucher which expires today, so I'm glad I spotted that in time."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney8 -
I'm feeling a bit more positive about the work situation again. I'm trying to consider it a win win situation. Either I'm successful in challenging my redundancy and I can continue with my current plans for the time being, or I'll get a nice payout, can take a month or so off, and then look for a new challenge.
The official consultation starts this week where we'll actually see the new structures and where we fit (or in my case don't). We'll likely find out the results in January. It seems like a long time to wait still to get the certainty of whether I have a job or not, but it will go quickly I'm sure. I was at a meeting the other day where one of the existing managers who is also being made redundant was raving about me, and also clearly continuing to fight for our team which was nice to hear."If you can dream it, you can do it". I must say the thought of a month off and a new start is starting to appeal, but I do have the fear of struggling to find something suitable."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney3 -

The saying" a change is as good as a rest" springs to mind. Doesn't make itany less scary though does it! Sounds like you are being very productive at home too. And taking a break from swimming lessons at this time of year with the weather and dark nights is not a bad thing either. 😂Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213 - Oct 24 13.4 k
