Bigger pad today due to survey cashout. It's nice to be back doing them, it feels like I'm doing 'something'.
Today's the day where we officially hear about the new structures, and the consultation starts. It will be interesting to see the detail.
I had the day off yesterday and ummed and ahhed about going to the coast, but decided against it as I might want to this weekend! I did spend the day mulling over different financial scenarios and getting my head straight about the options open to me. I've worked out the minimum salary I want to be earning, so that was useful. I also attended a recruitment webinar by one of the organisations I'm considering, so that was interesting and helpful as well. I think it was good to get my head straight on things before the SHTF today.
Last day of school for the kids today before half term. DH is off with them so hopefully will do some stuff, and I've also got Wednesday off as well as my normal Friday, so hopefully we can have at least one family day out."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Good luck for the meeting. Consultations may hold out some hope.
I haven’t had an interview for 20 years, I tend to shuffle about rather than go for promotion as I know interviews are a real weakness of mine…I can walk the walk, but I can’t talk the talk when I’m under a microscope like that. Good luck!
I once went for an interview at another division of a multinational company. I didn't want the job as it was selling insurance, so I didn't give two hoots. At the end, one of the two interviewers (a Director) said he'd never been interviewed quite so ruthlessly, ever! What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?2 -

I haven't really had a chance to look at the new structures but it's all really not great. Ultimately there's going to be no certainty until next year. There's a job combining mine and 2 others (which I wasn't told about), but I don't think I fancy doing 3 jobs for the price of 1.
Little miss is off swimming tonight, and I'm hoping that she'll complete her level. She's only got one thing to do and it would be nice to have a break for a while.
The kids are on half term now. I've got a funeral to go to tomorrow, but will leave them at home while I go just for the service which is just around the corner."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Sorry to hear the uncertainty continues, you must be so fed up with it all. They are taking the proverbial with the 3 jobs for the price [salary] of one. x2
