One item sold for the kids, and one for DH today so that's a couple more things going.
I'm feeling a bit better today, and we are going to head to the coast I think, so that will be nice.
I showed the kids that news story about the bloke who was blackmailing young girls on the internet to reinforce what I've talked to them before. I couldn't help but get choked up about the girl that killed herself, it's horrific and I can't imagine how scared and desperate she must have been. It's hard knowing that she was roughly the same age as little jwil."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". It really does resonate when you can see similarities with your own family.

I've been up at 4am the last couple of days, I hope it doesn't last too long.
It was nice to get to the seaside on Saturday. Yesterday was just a lazy day. Another item sold yesterday.
My head is so busy looking at different scenarios for the future. I keep seeing things about people who apply for hundreds of jobs without success and it gives me the fear. I'm leaning towards going, but equally trying not to get wedded to the thought of that as things might still change as a result of the consultation.
I'm currently considering
1. Take redundancy, have a month off, hopefully find another ft job quickly and use the redundancy to do some work on the house.
2. Take redundancy, take summer off, spend quality time with kids and DH, not need childcare, and use the time to really focus on my health and fitness. Challenge myself to stretch redundancy by being very MSE with groceries and bringing in extra from decluttering/surveys etc.
3. Take redundancy, get part time job, use redundancy to top up wages, but benefit by gaining back time, reduced childcare needs.
4. Apply for the 'new' job, and remain on same salary so that I have certainty, and do a job that I know inside out, mostly like, and can continue with current benefits and retirement plans.
5. Apply for promotion or look for other jobs within this organisation - maybe more money, new challenges, keep most of current benefits and retirement plans.
Number 2 appeals most at the moment in terms of just taking a break for a while, but there are pros and cons with them all! It is also possible to combine different aspects of the scenarios, giving me even more options.

I'm so exhausted. Luckily I remembered in time that little miss is off to a Halloween party tonight. It's an official club of an afterschool club she did so I'm sure I'll be getting a sales pitch. At least if it's too much I can just say I'm unlikely to have a job soon! She's decided not to continue swimming for now, which I'm relieved about as none of the times available are particularly great. I've cancelled the DD so that will be a nice saving for now.
My windscreen has been replaced today, so it will be a nice test to see how clear it is tonight. I've been stuck in meetings/calls all day so DH has sorted it all for me. I put it on the CC in case of issues, but have the money so can pay it off straight away.
