Just remember that most workplaces honour holidays you already have planned so if you need to "be" on a pre booked holiday for the first week or two of the school July holidays it's workable to find a way to save on childcare costs. Does use the leave up though.jwil said:I was awake in the night with the fear about having to spend loads on childcare again, particularly in the holidays. The reality is, if I really wanted to, I could stretch my time off to include the summer holidays, or just take a part time job for now and use my redundancy to top it up. There are solutions to most problems! Once little miss is in secondary school I won't be so bothered as they are both sensible.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

I managed to make a start on catching up with surveys again yesterday. I've got enough pending to cash out once approved so that's good.
I'm looking forward to my day off tomorrow, I don't have any plans yet. I've started looking at some of the support materials we've been provided to help build cvs and interview practice etc. I've also started making a list of all the tasks I do which will help me argue my case, make sure I include the good stuff on my CV and also for handover if that happens."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". My friend told me about a podcast called Interview Boss. It's really good, there are loads of episodes so you need to find the relevant ones.2

Thank you, I might have a look. I'm really glad I've sat on a couple of interview panels over the last couple of years, it's really helped me to see what's good and not in terms of an application and the interview. I'm not great at thinking on my feet though so need to practice. I've got a colleague who has offered to look over my CV as well (when I produce it!) which is great.remote_control said:My friend told me about a podcast called Interview Boss.
