NeverendingDMP said:The saying" a change is as good as a rest" springs to mind. Doesn't make itany less scary though does it! Sounds like you are being very productive at home too. And taking a break from swimming lessons at this time of year with the weather and dark nights is not a bad thing either. 😂
I've been productive this weekend, the last few months, not so... 😆
The break from swimming (and the cost!) will be quite welcome for sure."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney3 -

Any company would be lucky to have you on board @jwil! Better things lie ahead; as you say, you could well end up with a lovely payout as you start a new job! Love Humdinger xx3

I was awake in the night with the fear about having to spend loads on childcare again, particularly in the holidays. The reality is, if I really wanted to, I could stretch my time off to include the summer holidays, or just take a part time job for now and use my redundancy to top it up. There are solutions to most problems! Once little miss is in secondary school I won't be so bothered as they are both sensible."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney3

I've booked Wednesday off to have a bit of a time out. Also Wednesday next week as it's half term and though DH is covering, it will mean we can do something for the day.
I've also got 12 days leave to use by the end of Jan, so that's good (normally I would have used some for half term, but because of the dates when they published the new structure I didn't bother). I'll have 5 days for Christmas if that's approved, and then 7 days left which will be nice, so I'd better start thinking about when I want to take them before my calendar fills up."If you can dream it, you can do it".
