Enjoy your new bathroom. Playing with colour is fun too. I think as long as you have a mirror in there you can make it work.

Thank you :)  The mirror is something still to be worked out.  There were mirrored tiles under the window above the sink, but that only reaches to roughly chest height, so not really practical.  The only other wall space is next to the toilet, but feels a bit weird to me.  I'll keep pondering.

Little miss and I volunteered at the car boot sale this morning, selling cakes for the brownies.  It was quiet but we sold out so that was good.

We dropped DH's car off to be serviced and then stopped at McDs for lunch.  Then we went swimming this afternoon and all made use of the showers there.

I've emptied the airing cupboard, but need to finish decluttering it.  I also want to finish scrubbing the bath to try and remove some old filler marks before he reseals it.  That's my evening planned!

Hope you find the right place for the mirror. They make all the difference.

    Well done on the swimming.

On the mirror - perhaps try those really small mirrors on the chains that they have at places like HB/BnM

Thank you both :)  It's occurred to me that the airing cupboard door might be a place to hang a mirror.

I believe the plumber is working on the shower and tiling today.  Things should start taking shape now!  Electrician is coming this afternoon to do the wiring for the shower.  I'm also going to ask for a quote for some more of the electrical work that is outstanding, so we can get that sorted.  I need to look for a plasterer as well to skim the rest of the bathroom and a wall on the landing where hopefully some cables will be buried into the wall instead of trunking.

Of course, I need to work too! It's amazing how many emails have come in since Wednesday.  I need to find out who our new minister is to prep a letter for them and probably the local mps as well.

Oh DH! 😖 that is so annoying…and embarrassing for you when you thought the access to the loft area was sorted. I hate micromanaging mine, but the alternative is to not take any responsibility when it doesn’t get done!
