Dark purple sounds fabulously moody for a bathroom. Imagine having a bath by candlelight in a cosy deep purple bathroom cave with a cool glass of wine in hand 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

But it does sound luxurious.

DH didn't run screaming when I mentioned it to him, and I've woken up this morning still keen on the idea, so we'll make the final decision when everything's in and the walls are plastered. I will need to get someone in to do it properly though, my painting skills are not good enough. At least if we do find it overwhelming, we will be able to paint over it again.
I've had a closer look at the existing paint in the daylight, and it's like a dairy milk purple so it suits me down to the ground"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee7 -
I had a good nights sleep for the first time in ages last night! I feel like a different person today. I didn't wake til 7 (which is late for me), then lazed around for an hour, got up and had a bath using the new taps
and just having a quiet day now. I will do the airing cupboard later.
I'm obsessed with taps at the moment - it is amazing how much a difference they can make! Both the kitchen and the bathroom ones have been lovely. The new taps fill the bath so much quicker and the water is proper hot! Before it felt like we had little water pressure upstairs and the water was never hot, maybe because of the giant pipes and the slow flow. I might be able to reduce the water temp on the boiler a bit now which might save a few pennies on the energy bill.
DH won on PBs again this month, so he said he'll give me half again, which will help start rebuilding mine! He's been very lucky recently, I've asked him to buy a lottery ticket
I cashed out on two survey sites yesterday, so I've done a pad with the cash, and will count the amazon voucher when it arrives. I haven't had a voucher for ages, so that will be a treat."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Cadbury purple 😁, it sounds perfect and it’s very low risk and easily fixable if you decide it’s not quite right. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Even DH has said he likes the idea! It probably helps that we can see a bit of what it looks like from the patches on the wall.
