Not sure if it’s any help. When I was in the NHS, waiting lists operated on date of joining list combined with the category the consultant gave to each patient; very urgent, urgent, soon or routine. The lists were trawled regularly for breachers i.e. patients waiting longer than whatever government target was in place.10

I have never had an email or text reminder for any appointment. I get them from the dentist. I can also book my flu vaccine and blood tests and I get a text confirmation but never a reminder. I can see how useful they would be.
Really hope it is sorted soon.
Nb. Sorry to add but there is some very sad news of the passing of a regular poster Nelski on the OS daily thread. I know some on here would post on that thread.11 -
Just popping in to say I have my fingers crossed that your appointment on Friday does happen and with the result you want. I saw on the Daily thread that you had a face to face with the new lady Dr this morning - hope all went well. Since our GP surgery merged with another one and re-opened in a brand new medical centre, it's nigh on impossible to see a particular GP - unless you don't mind waiting for weeks! Fortunately, I rarely have to call on their services and, with one exception, I don't mind who I see.Be kind to others and to yourself too.8

Thanks for that as I wondered what was happening and there is 'our inspiration' typing away on another thread!
Hope all goes well.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Oh bless you Katiehound, fingers crossed. Saw the new Dr this morning, and it was lovely, a really nice young lady Dr and she was so pleasant. As I'd not met her before she shook my hand, and said 'Nice to meet you', which I thought was so nice and polite. Bless her she's taken me off one of the tablets, and so now only have two to take daily one for my heart, and the other for BP and kidneys. She was pleased with my progress though and said my BP was spot on .
Rain arrived as expected late afternoon and its been pretty horrible ever since. I have my friend picking my up tomorrow to go for coffee which I am looking forward to, and hopefully hearing from Mikey that he's got the part time bar job to help out at Uni
Hope everyone has had a good day, even though its a Monday
Take care all

Good Morning chums, well looks like more rain on the way today (not as though we have been short of the stuff ) but saves me watering the veg patch at least.
My hairdresser Gill is coming today to give my barnet trim, as its starting to look a bit wild and flyaway.
She's a lovely lass and has been brilliant Her shop closed because of lockdown, and her boss told the staff by text and she had been there for around 20 odd years .
So she decided to go mobile, and even would turn up complete with PPE and masked up to make sure her ladies hair were all looked after. So I always enjoy a chinwag and a hair trim at the same time.
Youngest DD Tessa is popping round today as its her day off so we will be having a good long natter as well accompanied by lots of tea and cake. Probably natter about the BIG move to the IoW for us both
Tomorrow's the day I see the consultant (Fingers crossed) and my eldest (Shelley) is coming along as well. Hopefully I shall get the results of all the tests, and maybe the drain removed.I will be so pleased if it is.
We live in hope, its been 17 weeks in situ, and a real nuisance as it meant I can do very little at all indoors, and can only really go out if its to the hospital or Drs and any shopping my two daughters have done ,and the eldest has been doing my washing as well as bending or lifting anything is just to difficult. I haven't driven since Christmas Day either so fingers crossed for 2,30 tomorrow afternoon
Hope everyone has had a good week, and hugs to the poorlies and downhearted
Keep safe everyone
