Evening chums ,well tomorrow I see the big chief consultant at the hospital and I'm hoping he will tell me how soon I can have 'Dora the drain' removed, its been in five months now and I think I have been quite a patient patient considering I was told it was only for 4-6 weeks
so fingers crossed for tomorrow afternoon.
I had the dentists yesterday as I had a crown fall out and the peg underneath had broken so he had to grind it down to the gum and cap it I have to go back in two weeks and he will tell me what he will do next
Not a great week as some lovely person went down the side of my parked car and put a delightful scratch on itand to really cheer my week up I had my fifth Covid Jab on Saturday so all in all I will be glad to see the back of this week.
Tomorrow is my youngest DGS's 19th birthday bless him and he is back at Uni at the moment This year has not been good for the boys birthdays I missed DGS Jack's 23rd birthday in February as I was poorly , Mikey is tomorrow and he is in Essex and DGS Henry's off to Amsterdam on business on Friday (he is a banker) and its his 22nd birthday this Saturday, never missed so many of their birthdays before. but I will Facetime Mikey tomorrow before he goes out celebrating, and probably Facetime Henry on Saturday for the same reason ,
Apart from that all's reasonably Ok in my slightly restricted world, I'm looking forward to going off to the IoW on the 30th of this month for a couple of weeks , and hopefully just sitting watching the boats go down the Solent from the verandah at the front of the holiday house as its almost on the beach at Bembridge. its Round the Island boat race on the 1st July so we will get a great view, fingers crossed it will be sunny and dry
Right off to bed for a read now
Night Night God bless all here

Thank you chums ,love the idea of eyes crossed. weenancy
My eldest grandson Danny's wife Hayley has her first baby , due 4th July in New York, so my eldest daughter is getting really excited as it will be her first grandchild.
Its going to be a little girl which will make her my third great-granddaughter, and I too am looking forward to seeing the new little American via facetime.
If she actually arrives on independence day it will be great as every birthday she will think the country is having a party for her
My eldest brother's birthday was the same and my Aunt in New Jersey used to send him $10 which back in the 1950s was great, but hard to change upin the UK ,not many money exchanges locally to where we lived at the time.
Weather is very overcast ,but dry at least .
I'm really hoping to get some luck this afternoon so any crossed fingers eyes etc I'll take anything today

Hi chums well I saw the consultant this afternoon, and he agreed with me that I had been messed about far too long bless him
So the forward plan now is for me to have my holiday at the end of the month, and when I come back I will have my gallbladder removed.
He said he could have taken the drain out but the likelihood was the problem would probably return, and I would need the drain reinserted. So he will remove tha gallbladder and also the blockage in the bile duct which he thinks is another stone and put a stent in to enlarge the bile duct a bit as its been restricted for a good while now.
He was such a nice chap and seemed confident that he could get me back on the road to a normal life again.:) so I will have 'Dora the Drain' in until I return from my holidays mid July then about a week in hospital ,maybe less hopefully. He said the stone in my gallbladder is too large to break down with medication. So bacon sarnies are off the menu
But I'm just so pleased as at last there is a care plan in place .I had the vampire nurse take some bloods, and he even sorted out the consent form which I signed straight away.
So all being well in a month or so I will be feeling a great deal better than today. I'm just so pleased that things will start to move on, and health-wise I can recover ,instead of being it felt forgotten. He was so apologetic that I had been virtually left in limbo for so long .
So I am a very happy lady tonight, and can put up with the drain a wee bit longer knowing at least it will be removed for good when I have my operation.
Maybe all the fingers and crossed eyes worked so cheer chums
