That sounds hopeful. Enjoy your holiday. I hope it's warmer on the IOW than it is here in Kent!9

That's good news Jackie
With the end in sight Dora won't feel like such a bother now eh!
I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.8 -
annie64 I know, I live in the Medway area and the weather hasn't been brilliant this spring , overcast and windy for the past week, but at least dry.
YoungBlueEyes, I am so pleased as I can cope for a few more weeks knowing it will be coming out and roughly when it was not knowing how long I would have to cope with it.But now I can at least make plans . Fingers crossed the IoW will be sunnier as we usually have pretty good weather on there.
Just going to have my umpteenth cuppa this morning with a big smile on my face now things have been sorted

I was really disappointed for you when you posted a while back that the dr you originally had seen didnt recommend removing your gallbladder, having experienced the pain myself, I was desperate to have mine removed. The pain was horrible when it flared up.
So pleased for you that it looks like it will now happen. I had mine removed via keyhole and all I have to show for it is 4 tiny scars. The recovery afterwards was very quick.
Apple cider vinegar helped me, I think.11 -

Really pleased to hear your news Jackie and that your consultant was so nice. Good news too that you can look forward to your holiday soon. We've been to the Isle of Wight twice and loved it but it's a bit too far for us to manage the travelling now from Yorkshire. The first time we stayed in Sandown and the second time in Shanklin. We were a good bit younger then and bought bus passes so we travelled all over the island and saw lots of lovely places. One we'll never forget is a trip to a vineyard - I don't think I've ever drunk alcohol so early in the day!Be kind to others and to yourself too.7

Just caught up with this thread Jackie; I've had a few days in sunny (?) south east Kent; drove back over the Medway yesterday. Really pleased for you at your better news. I wish you the very best for a quick recovery from the op and meanwhile, enjoy beautiful Bembridge. We holidayed there many years ago and loved it.8

I live in east Kent. It has been fairly sunny but the wind is very cold. Where were you staying DiamondLil?8

As Billy Connelly would say I think in Kent the past few weeks we have all been "windswept and interesting ":)
Its been dry but very windy here. Hopefully we will get some of the lovely sunshine soon thats been promised.
I watched a documentary the other night about the heat wave of 1976 and by golly it really was a scorcher for 10 weeks with temperatures often exceeding 35c and the country was running out of water and collecting water from stand pipes in the street, and that was on top of food shortages and strikes and austerity. So todays problems have been here before
I'm feeling energised this morning so a bit of decluttering is on the cards as its bin day tomorrow The month seems to be galloping on and before we know it it will be mid summers day then nights start getting darker again
Hope everyone has a good week and the sun shines down on us all, it always make you feel brighter when the weathers better. My friend in America says us Brits are obsessed with the weather, and I think we probably are, as I bet most people will remark at some point about it during their day.
Right my coffee is calling so I'm off ,every day brings me closer to getting shot of 'Dora the Drain' :0and that definitely puts a big smile on my face irrespective of the weather
Cheers chums JackieO xx
