Well 1st April and the appointment for the 'hot' clinic' is getting closer only 11 more days, and fingers crossed they may removed the drain and tell me whats next.
I still haven't had a letter from the hospital re that appointment ,but this morning recieved another for an appointment on 28th April to see the surgeon so maybe they will remove the obstruction if it hasn't gone already, and remove my gall bladder
Who knows ! I spoke to the SMART nurse this mornig and said should I still go ahead with the 12th April appointment and she said definitely. So fingers crossed.
Two of my grandsons came round today and brought me sugary doughnuts and I had one with a cuppa and a good natter as well.
DGS Jack sorted out my Alexa which had been playing up a bit, he's my tachy go-to guy. He was telling me about his new young lady , he seems quite happy which is what I want for him as he is a lovely gentle soul and his previous G/F broke his heart.
Mikey came with him and he's a lovely lad and is suffering penury as a very hard up student fairly well, but siad he's applied for many jobs in Colchester near to Uni and hopes as the summer comes on he will get some work to keep him going.
The weather in north Kent is a bit changeable and tiny burst of sun followed by sheeting rain so staying indoors at the moment
The boys have gone home now, and eldest DD is coming shortly to drop off some library books she collected for me from the library.
I hope everyone has a good weekend and if you are lucky the sun will shine down on your washing at least
Cheers chums

Good luck with the Hot Clinic appointment Jackie. I'm in north London and have regular 'Hot Clinic' appointments at the moment. Have to say the care is second to none (although their letters always take a few weeks to arrive but I think that's down to the awful postal service we're currently experiencing). I wish you all the best for the 12th.

@London_1, I have my fingers crossed for you at the Hot Clinic tomorrow and really hope the junior doctors' strike doesn't kibosh it. You've been so patient and I can sense you want (and need) to get back to some kind of normality asap. Your lovely family are so caring and have done you proud. Hugs and best wishes. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8

Thank you chums I too have my fingers crossed, and have no idea if there will be Drs at the clinic or not I will let you know how I get on.
I still have the drain in my tummy after 14 weeks waiting, hoping they will take it out today but I'm not holding my breath. Will just have to wait and see.
Even my SMART nurses have their fingers crossed for me .They have been smashing ladies and been very caring and helpful.
Onwards and upwards

back home still attached to blessed drain as the clinic was cancelled with no notice or anything so not a happy bunny at all. youngest dd took time out from work to take me there as well, bless her. I have been so messed about by the hospital admin that she has instigated and complaint with PALS. But I doubt that will do much good
next appointment is 28th April hopefully I'm supposed to see the consultant then but again who knows, no one seems to worry anymore about appointments.I have kept to the rules and followed everything I've been told to do and here I am 4 months down the line very little better off than I was in December
Sorry for the rant just feeling a bit fed up at the moment as I was so hoping to be free of this blasted drain
Oh well, onwards and upwards I suppose, but my patience is wearing a little thin now
