so so sorry Jackie.
glad you have contacted PALS, they were very helpful and thorough when I asked for help.
Do hope you can get help soon must be so demoralising for you.8 -
I can totally understand how you feel Jackie, a complaint at this stage is definitely warranted, and worth trying.8

Three of my grandsons came round this afternoon for a natter and to cheer me up bless them .Ben and Jack have decided to have a small patch of my garden for growing vegetables, and spent most of the afternoon digging it over and dodging the rain showers. They have done very well and I'm surprised as they have decided, as I don't garden much at all. Age and clapped out joints have caught up with me
They will pinch a bit about 3 metres by 2 metre and grow some onions and maybe a few spuds, as I also have another spot they can stick some spuds in.
I don't mind, and it kept them busy this afternoon and I had a chance to chat to the youngest one Mikey about how he is getting on at Uni. He is looking forward to moving into a shared house in July with some pals ,and was telling me all about it.
The boys found some old wooden bits at the bottom of the garden and have made a sort of raised bed and it looks really good.lots of hammering and sawing and digging going onI think they really enjoyed it and ben is coming back tomorrow to do some more as Jack has to be back at his boarding school where he teaches by Friday.
Ben is very like his Dad in as much as he will spend hours researching methods and things to do with gardening before he picks up a spade.:) but he, like his Dad is a perfectionist and I don't doubt his produce will be excellent.
It certainly cheered me up seeing them all and the boys all get along fairly well Their other brother was at work in London as he is into merchant banking and this time of the year he is especially busy.
Well now I've had my rant and cooled down I am again resigned to today, although my DDs are both spitting feathers stilljust have to see what happens when the PALS team reply to her two phone messages she has sent as at the moment there has been no reply, perhaps they too are on strike
Ah well time for a cuppa
cheers chums

Oh Jackie, I'm so sorry your appointment didn't go ahead and am appalled that you didn't even get any notice - a phone call wouldn't have gone amiss to save you and DD making a journey for nothing. Rant away as much as you like - it doesn't change the situation I know, but it helps to get rid of some of the frustration. Fingers crossed the 28th will bring better results.
Great to hear about Ben & Jack's gardening exploits and your chat with Mikey, they sound lovely lads.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7 -
After the way you have been messed around Jackie I think you are entitled to a good rant. Surely next time all will go to plan xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8
