    Castle said:
I love the footer at the bottom of the letter in which they claim that "GCTT Certificated Enforcement Agents t/a ZZPS Limited"-It should of course be the "other way round", but why let accuracy get in the way.

(I also see that they have missed a "t" out of "Certificated" when they "signed" the letter.)

    And:

"The balance owed will increase as a result of us instruction the solicitors"

Which is not only another typo but also a lie, because the BPA CoP (extortionate) maximums are £100 and £70.  More can't be added again!

Shoddy and also misleading to write as if they are bailiffs. The company name is misleading 'certified (or certificated) enforcement agent' being the new phrase for what used to be called a bailiff.

Thanks for posting the letter, @graceNmercy

  • Hello, so got another letter today....

  • im not sure if its a coincidence but the frequency of these letters is during the 3rd and the 4th quarter... wonder if there is any relevance though... after Feb the letters stop coming and then resume but Sept...
  • Does this go any further...? any more letters bound to be coming? everytime a letter comes it stresses me off...

That's nothing more than a debt collectors letter.

The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.

The key factor is the 14 days, it cannot be a letter of claim!

Remove the Claim form pictures first, too much personal information

Then redact the QR code on the left of the main 3rd September N1SDT Claim form , also redact the reference number on the top right, plus redact the password on the bottom right too

Then upload it again, fully redacted this time

A typical ECP DCB LEGAL roboclaim, like dozens of others

Hi, the letters have been coming and we kept ignoring them but yesterday this letter came and it looked different; it seems to be from the court; is this real? what do i need to do?
Deal with them as described in the second post of the NEWBIES thread.

You have clearly shown your Claim Number and your MCOL password. Probably best that you now edit your post replacing the images so that you don't uniquely identify your case.

With a Claim Issue Date of 3rd September, you have until Monday 23rd September to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 7th October 2024 to file a Defence.
That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

    Here's a redacted version:

Same advice as on all the other ECP Court claims this past few weeks.

Read half a dozen to see what they put as their paragraph 3.  Very simple but you must defend.
