Evening allWork day today, and nothing spent. I am on NSD #12 I think.I took crackers, cheese cubes and grapes for lunch, hot drinks are free for us to make for ourselves, and as it is freezing in the shop, we need to, if only to warm out hands upLots of ice everywhere, which makes driving hazardous. There have been loads of accidents in our county this weekGrateful that it is supposed to be warming up a bit at the weekend!7

Today I am grateful for dc being able to get more sleep, for seeing some snowdrops, for the beautiful sunrise and sunset skies, for feeling free, for coffee.

Evening Turtles,
Similar to yesterday really. School opened at 8am and then shut at 8:35!! DS had a nose bleed so was up early ish, so I dealt with that, he got ready for school. Went to put his trainers on and they were soaking wet from yesterday even though I told him to only wear old trainers. So cross at him I had a right nag and then found out school was closed so that saved that situation! His friend called for him & proceeded to spend the day here again. Sent them out for walk and he wore his walking boots! They went to local cafe and saw a few more of their classmates then came back here. They behaved better than yesterday so I could work without too much distraction.
Watched the match that was 2 great footballers ‘last dance’ enjoyed that.Don’t know what’s up with me at the moment, I feel both underwhelmed and overwhelmed with daily life. I am such an organised person that when something knocks the routine off, it really throws me. Also with the weather being as it is I haven’t left the house or seen anyone other than my DH & DS so maybe I’m feeling a bit enclosed!!
Decided to wfh tomorrow to save the whole decision making tomorrow morning thinking I could get stuck in ice. Really need to get stuck into my work tomorrow but DH told me the gas guy is coming to service the boiler as if he doesn’t come tomorrow it will be ages before he can fit us in. So another interruption when I really need to get stuck in! Fingers crossed school is open tomorrow.
TCB and Tilly tally takes my ‘save £5 23 times’ up to £55 so that’s coming along nicely.NSD 6/15?.

19/1 and still 10 NSDs.
Today's spend was unplanned, but very tasty and can come from my fun spends. I've nothing else planned this month so it won't cause any issues.
No more snow, but everywhere is like an ice rink now. Its starting to melt, but too slowly to be useful!
Catching up on silent witness then bed!10 -
Great news @Shrewbie! 🎉
Good to hear you're feeling a little better today @grandmanerd. Sorry to hear your family aren't @firsview.
Forced myself to do yoga this morning, but pleased I did as it was all to do with my core. Think I'll repeat this one a few times, before I move on to the day 7 video. I am a bit achy tonight though, so must be working! Work this morning was quite tricky, but having a cuddle with a 6 month old baby visiting, made me smile. Went for my massage after work, paying for it from my business account, so counting it as a NSD, could be #10 😃
Put on a face mask after tea, DS3 enjoyed peeling some of it off once dry. Tried navigating an order to make me some more business cards, but they didn't look as good as I wanted. Toying with the thought of commissioning a friend to design me a logo/business card. Not sure how much it'd cost though. Had a soak in the bath with a new book. DS1 had another good day, more relaxing today. He's looked where & when to catch a train to the airport next week, so peace of mind for him.
Grateful for baby cuddles, massages, starting a new book, no ice/snow, daylight to drive home inUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Morning all
So happy it’s Friday! It’s been an odd week. No NSD yesterday as I just had to have a baguette from the shop to go with the bean stew for dinner…. not sure what my obsession is with bread this week, anyway a packet of crisps and a 4 pack of chocolate mousses also snuck into my basket when I wasn’t looking….. bf and I decided we would be sensible with food this weekend as we’ve not been so great during the week. Nothing too bad, just too much bread and biscuits in addition to the home made meals. It made me realise that usually the weekend is one long “cheat day” and I end up feeling like sh*t on Mondays - a bit more balance would be good.Bf and I both need 4 fillings each and he told me that he would struggle to pay it so I offered to cover it, as I’ve got my unexpected bonus. It’s nice to be able to help him out as he has with me in the past.Gym workout done yest and meditation. No writing, will have to be better with this next week. 12 booze free days done.Grateful for my job, for a warmer day today, for books and music.Student loan £5655

Good morning and happy Friyay.
Today shall be another NSD. DH is out so I'll make the kids and me HM fish and chips.
Later tonight I might get a parcel to Vint@ge c@sh c0w ready. See what I get for it. I will also go through my old coin collection (don't ask, let's just say I wasn't the typical teenage girl), I found a coin shop in my old home town that I'll visit in April that specialises in some of the coins I have and will probably sell them there. Although I will have a wee nosey in the net first what they might go for, if it's worth it. They just collect dust in the attic, no one else is interested so might as well sell them.
Something occurred to me. The last few months if not year I was always overspending by £100-200 every month, or lending DH money etc. So when I realised I might break even this month or even have some money left over I wasn't that excited as it didn't seem that big an improvement. Somehow my brain kind of downplays both, the extra debt wasn't that bad as well as breaking even isn't that amazing as I though it would be. Till I realised I didn't just break even, but I also didn't overspend by £200 AND I overpaid my debt by another £300 so I'm actually over £500 better off this month. Now that is motivation....DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/259 -
Happy Friday (and my last day of employment until Feb).Diary management done, car breakdown insurance sorted and stuck on the cc for the cashback bonus points.I have been very sneaky and only told you lot that today is my last day at work. My family and volunteer-family all think I have the next 3 days off and finish at the end of the month, because I do not want them to fill the rest of the month with their demands. How very selfish of me! My house needs a flippin' good clean!! and some more things need to leave the building - not a chance of that happening with this lot around. The kids are all very excited about the February strikes, and fully support the teachers in their demands for better pay, conditions, and studentsHugs to all who need them, chaise longue has a heated overblanket for anyone who can't sit up, needs a rest, or just a nap. G0blin teasmade is within reach. The sun is shining, the days are getting longer (DS3 no longer bikes to school in the dark), but it is still cold, so keep warm, and remember to keep hydrated!!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
