H I'm just running out the last bit of worn rope that tied up January, I am grateful for dryer, for ds1 making me dinner, for a clear day and bike to work, for an other NSD day, second in February sorry for using budget month, grateful for stamina even if it makes me a bit sick with too many things at the same time, grateful for the rubbish men picking up my recycling tomorrow, for a friend who is taking me to some arts related talk on Thursday, for birds thinking it is spring, for having met my writing mentor and for you lot who just keep on going :-) @grandmanerd thanks again for January.
LBM Jan 2019 - £25.928/Active debt £14616, 43% sorted EF 2023 £50/10005% Have paid up my car and house insurance yearly and am now saving to pay back my overpaid tax credits outright. And am saving for various things that might break - like couch(£60), vacuum cleaner, dish washer, and fix bikes. Housing fund 2023-2024 £1970/6000 32%
Final day of the month and I finish on 15NSDs. Some money left over at the end of the month so that's a bonus! Glad I've found my way back to the 🐢🐢🐢 hangout. It's definitely focused me more on not spending when I don't have to, and got me thinking more MSE again! See you all in February.
Today I am grateful for a lovely day at work, for sunshine, for finding some 10p bargains in sainz, for salt and vinegar crisps, for some useful suggestions from a colleague.
Evening Turtles. January went well in the main, didn’t run out of money and added to my premium bonds. Managed to avoid using any credit cards and restricted my drinking to weekends only to save some money. Next project is saving for new patio doors as I am fed up with DS2 keep sliding them off their runners every time he goes outside. Wouldn’t want them done until the weather warms up a bit so have a few months to save. Started walking again after a break for a couple of weeks while I shook off the lurgy. Hopefully it will help kickstart my weight loss again. I will get back to 10 stone something by the summer! Thank you for January grandmanerd and see you all in February.
The wind & rain are really bad today, the school's weren't closed (maybe tomorrow 🤞) but all boats to the Scottish mainland were cancelled (currently sounds like the roof us going to blow off!!)
Work went ok, though the teacher was quite grumpy! She did message me tonight to apologise. Had the dentist afterwards. The dentist has been to some of my sewing classes, so we had a good chat 😊
After tea I put a new zip into a coat, then sorted out the paperwork for our passport applications. Can post them & the 2 jackets to one of the northern isles on my way home tomorrow. Went in the bath & fell asleep!
Grateful for hearing that our school is going to be a BSL school after summer, our applications progressing, for this month's thread - thank you @grandmanerd
Use it up, wear it out Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
