Grandmanerd, I have been a follower of the NST thread for many years but not yet summoned up the nerve to join - I must next month! Your good sense, humour and intelligence emanate from your posts.
I really hope I'm not seeming presumptuous or overbearing but I am really worried that you have been so poorly for such a long time. Have you managed to see your GP, might you need antibiotics? You have so much going on in your life at the moment, I just wanted to make sure you are taking good care of yourself! xx

@grandmanerd I hope you rest well & feel better soon. @beanielou so pleased you’ve finally received your PIP.
Another frustrating day in work. Chasing for things, correcting things blah blah blah!
Had to drive car back from MOT in the dark, rush hour & snow! At least it passed! Budgeted £40 & it was £44 so not too bad.
In better news, footy training was cancelled due to snow thank goodness as DS would play in all weathers if he could.
Tilly tally done but that’s the only mse thing I’ve done today.
Made a lasagne tonight so not very healthy with a glass of red which I really enjoyed. Drank water throughout the day but not a fan of it!
Grateful for - footy being cancelled, wfh & car passing mot.Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£260. PAD member.9 -

@beanielou- 🥳🥳🥳
@Thrifty_Taylor hopefully your son will have a great time and it will all be remembered as part of the great adventure!
17/1 and NSD 10.
Snow here has caused some changes of plans- DD ended up at a friend's house after school and we both got fed there so that was nice.
I was stopped on the road this morning and the car behind me very definitely didn't stop and bumped into me. Luckily she wasn't going very fast and I can't see any obvious damage. I have all her details, and the car is in the garage for an MOT tomorrow so hopefully they will have a look for me as well. It was serviced a couple of months ago, so 1 planned repair before the MOT but hopefully it won't need anything else done 🤞.

That's fantastic news @beanielou, I'm so pleased it's finally arrived! Hope there's enough for a little treat for you 😃🎉🎉🎉
Thank you all for your good wishes re DS1, yes @Toni'sfriend, he's on holiday. He's had a great day today, has seen all the places on today's list, & Notre Dame was close by, so he went there too! Finding plenty to eat, & sent me lots of photos & videos. Eiffel Tower amongst the list tomorrow.
Work went fine, came home the normal way, as a lot of the snow/I've has melted, but means there's LOTS of water on the roads instead. Sorted out my breakdown cover. Had money in a sinking fund for it, so counting it as a NSD, will be #9. Emailed my auntie in America. Was going to start applying for passports for our Easter trip, but DH went for a nap on the bed, so I washed the dishes instead. Had a bath, then drew templates to make felt decorations for my winter craft fayres, this is to use up some of my stash & be a bit more organised at the end if the year.
Grateful for DS having a good day, the snow melting, a cosy fire, craft supplies, & you lot.
Hoping all the poorly folk feel better soon, & backs & eyes stop hurting & return to normal quickly xUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
