Morning turtles
Went to a market yesterday with an old teaching colleague. Was quite shocked when she reminded me that we met 7 years ago, it seems like I moved to Spain yesterday. Had a nice day but banging headache when I got home so didn’t do any of the batch cooking I’d planned. After a kip on the sofa managed to prepare lunch for today and breakfasts so at least I wasn’t rushing around this morning. Forgot to mention that on Sat I wrote 2 letters with the writing set I got for Xmas.
Today should be NSD 2 (doing terribly with this) but as we didn’t do any shopping at the weekend bf will need to go at some point. On booze free day 9/90 and social media free 12/90.
grateful for a warm and cosy home, for headache departing, for coffee as always.Have a great day turtlesStudent loan £5655

Woke yesterday with streaming eyes and a hacking cough so I spent the day in bed with lemon and ginger tea and a packet of paracetamol. I was feeling a bit down and not a little worried about the results of the biopsy. Waiting is awful. I'm all over the place.
Anyway yesterday was NSD No 10 and I'm determined to be more productive today. Got lots to do.
Speak to you later. xxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
Good morning,
today shall be an NSD. Took some beef/bean fajita mix out of the freezer and will have that with baked potatoes for dinner. Packed healthy snacks for work and have my gym back sitting next to me, I will go!
Reconnected with a girl (well women now) from my primary school. She was in my class but I was besties with her younger sister. Might see her for a coffee when I'm back in my old home country again. She was part of the hip clique in school and we never really clicked whereas her sister was a tomboy like me. Now her sister is the mumsy religious type (not in a bad way just opposite to me) where as I have loads in common with my old class mate now. Funny how things change over the decades.
Anyway, procrastinating on here, better do some workDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/258 -

Life is amazing
And then it's awful
And then it's amazing again
And in between the amazing and the awful, it's ordinary and mundane and routine
Breathe in the amazing,
Hold on through the awful
And relax and exhale through the ordinary
That's just living, heart-breaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life
And it's BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL

Hugs beanie, should we send food parcels?
Just breathe Toni'sfriend, sometimes being ill is our body's way of saying we need time out, rest if you need to (you're mentally exhausted as well).
Dr Carrie, as others have said, the odd day off isn't a failure, 'most of the time' is great
Yesterday I opened a can of soup, heated a ready meal and opened and drained a tin of fruit - not much but it's more than I managed the previous day or two so I'll take it. Have two pieces of salmon and a bag of prawns defrosting in the fridge to sort today. Took me three attempts to get in the shower as i did a 'few bits' each time I stood up and had to go back to resting after the 'bits' (made a start on clearing some of the previous day's big mess, threw down 5 carrier bags of rubbish/ recycling, turned the good bits of an old towel into more rags, sprayed the back of the front door with shower screen cleaner when I went down for caffeinated drinks, top was on wonky so I poured some on the vestibule floor and swiped rags round with my foot, brought the remainder upstairs to do the bathroom floor but never got that far).
Today I have unblocked the sink - major frog and my fault. I was using the push in/ push out sink plug at DS1's and last week (full of bugs and too weak/ dizzy/ dozy to get in the shower) I dropped our's in and started to fill the sink. But our's has been broken a while and it's been wedged in there since despite various attempts to free it. Getting really fed up now so attacked it with the plunger so it jumped slightly up and then did it again and again (hopping it up slightly each time) until I could get hold of it - might throw it away so I don't do it again (I bought a spare ordinary plug a while ago). So I already feel like I am winning today. Everything is slightly improved, blocked bits are clearer, running bits have slowed down. Not going to jinx it but I'm cautiously hopeful (but will stick with baby steps).
Grateful for plungers (bought a new small one along with the drop in plugs and sink drainers as the old one was disgusting), having a vague outline of a meal plan, good books, good series, a fun film for light relief, the healing power of just lying there (with occasional bathroom dashes) and letting my body rest.9 -

Oh, and I decluttered an item from the Chocolate Hotel people, that was really disappointing. It looked good, but it just tasted utterly boring. So glad I was not the one that paid for it!! I remembered those less fortunate than myself in far flung countries, and bravely ate it anyway.

Foxholes - Do you know I often find that expensive chocolate can be really disappointing taste wise. Fair trade is obviously something we want to support but some of the cheaper fair trade are actually nicer.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10
