Thank you @apple_muncher & @BadBookkeeper. I was dreading turning my phone on this morning, could only concentrate on half my yoga. He has messaged to say that he spoke to a man this morning, who said he is able to stay for his original booking. Phew! He's slept all night & is out exploring already. Hope the rest of his stay goes without a hitch 🤞🤞🤞Use it up, wear it out

That sounds stressful, @thrifty hope it’s sorted quickly. @beanie I hope you are okay.
I had a difficult day yesterday, definitely wasn’t in the swing of things and was finding even the simplest task stressful.
Trying to remind myself that “getting stuck is part of the flow” No nsd as did a top up shop. Meditation and circuits class was done. Ate loads of chocolate to cheer myself up.Grateful for not having to be outside in this storm, for being able to work from home this afternoon.Student loan £5655

Good morning, hope that those of you struggling have a better day today.
Not much to report here apart from that I woke up this morning with a massive haemorrhage on my eye ball. I thought yesterday my was getting a bit blood shot, this morning there was a giant red area. No idea, guess this just happens sometimes?

So, I felt a bit wobbly yesterday so decided to continue with upstairs and lots of rest (and added ear drops to my routine). Went down for lunch but just took wraps from the freezer and spinach, tomatoes, peppers and salami from the fridge + 2 plates and more drinks). Was so proud of myself as I sat chopping the veg whilst two wraps softened on a plate. Made up the wraps slowly, ate slowly, absolutely delicious (my sense of taste came back a week ago and I'm really happy about that but forgot to put it on my gratitudes).
A slow leisurely afternoon (doing well with squirting extra cleaning stuff at door frames and grubby bits of wall and finished off another bottle by pouring it in the bathroom corners and using the temporary bathmat to rub it in hard to reach places - as well as finding more toilet roll middles and end of rolls), still feeling 'not quite right' but unable to narrow it down.
About 6 pm I decided I need to get something to eat and went downstairs very slowly and cautiously. Put something in the oven and installed myself on the couch (DS3 had mooched upstairs a little earlier, having been on parcel watch for me all day, as he did his own work). Went to the kitchen to collect my food (finished off another couple of bits from the fridge as sides). Again lovely.
Shortly afterwards I felt uncomfortable, sat up to go to the bathroom and discharged what felt like everything I'd eaten in the last 3 days (still sitting on the edge of the couch). Went to the bathroom (so grateful for the bucket in there because I continued to fill it - I hate being sick), then used the shower (on myself and my clothes) and then went back to deal with the fallout in the front room. The pizza boxes on the floor finally came into their own as they caught the worst of it.
The bin bag went outside the back door (no clothes remember), gathered up my stuff and came back to bed. Wrapped myself in my batwing sleeve hoodie jersey cardi with the enormous hood, propped myself up in a reasonably comfortable position. Obviously my body isn't back to normal as some of the stuff wasn't digested properly (sorry tmi). Slept in roughly 3 hour chunks, nothing more came up thank goodness but eating mindfully today - nibble something I 'fancy', wait. see what my body's response is.
After weeks of running a temperature, I felt cold so added a t-shirt under the batwing cardi (after a brief look for the 2 clean nighties), pulled the hood over and around me - then took it off to add my mask and then repeat and brought another clean bedcover to the pile I'm sleeping under (and staying under).
Slowly got light and !!!!!!, apple made it snow. I'm officially paranoid as I feel that everything is conspiring to stop me going to this funeral in Blackpool. Checked the weather report and tomorrow and Wednesday are going to be sunny with intermittent rain and the rest of the week is rain, rain and more rain. Bolton will have more snow but I just get off the bus and go to the train and if I need something to eat there is a G r e g g s in there as well. Blackpool will probably have waves across the promenade (but that means no snow, okay, I can deal with that).
Now worried about Friday (completion day - post box check, meter readings, hand over keys at EA). DS3 will have to do the bins today and I need to remind him about collecting the last few items from mum's (must remember to ask him about our meter readings).
I have vague moments of 'what fresh hell and humiliation can I go through' - but only moments because what is officially the bug from hell will think of something. Okay positive head on and be grateful. I have a bucket in the bathroom, the pizza boxes caught the mess on the floor, I had bought a twin pack of kitchen roll (something I never do, rethink caused by being ill), I feel much better than I did yesterday evening, I have lots of clean bedding, t-shirts and nighties, I unblocked the sink so frequent teeth brushing and hand washing is much easier, I have ear drops, eye drops, cream to go round my eyes and lovely smelling body cream for the rest of me. Everywhere looks a mess but I have quickly found most of the things I need due my work over the past few weeks and months - new pill supply (in the drawer where I had put it), too cold to hunt for the nightie - turn around and take out a clean t-shirt from the drawer I filled.
Friday is one last hurdle to selling the bungalow (and money to make choices). The funeral is another challenge but an 'adventure' (a grand odyssey, travelling alone - so many people helped when I went to DS1's, helping me on and off buses, not rushing me and stopping to ask if I was okay or needed help). I can do this, I want to do this, I will do this and then I still have a week of the month left to continue restoring order and then onto the next big adventure.
And another funny story (in many parts) to add to all the others.

Hi turtlesI had an awful sleep last night, my back decided to flare up in a big way, I was awake pretty solidly from 3am. Went to sleep on the sofa, no joy. Put the TENS machine on at about 5am, no joy. Gave up trying to sleep, read on my phone for a bit and finally fell asleep before my alarm went off at 7! Swiftly turned off and tried to get a bit more sleep but was up by 8. I called in sick as this lack of sleep has been accumulating and I just thought there's no point pushing myself to go in when I'm in loads of pain and haven't slept properly for a while. Health comes first! I can cope with some level of back pain as sadly that's my norm but I think my body was telling me to rest today.Have chalked up another NSD, mainly sat reading and watching TV. Did manage some yoga eventually to stretch things out which really helped. Have eaten absolute rubbish today as well. Finally fell asleep at about 3pm for an hour or so. Feeling a bit better so hopefully will be up to working tomorrow.NSD's - 9Healthy food days - 11Workouts this week - 1 (very gentle lol)10

NSD No 12
Haven't heard anything from the hospital. Today is their pathology meeting so I'm putting a positive spin on it.
Spent the day doing absolutely nothing but watch tv. Pizza from the freezer for dinner. The benefits of having a well stocked freezer and store cupboard are really working out just now.
Hopefully, be a bit more productive tomorrow.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10 -
