Good morning here is a proper turtle question! Last week everything in my freezer froze and I am still annoyed and suspicious that it will happen again, and I am concerned for my vegetables. I know the fridge might have been over full so fan could not ventilate, but I am now also suspecting that the fridge seal is limp as fridge is a 20 old Siemens fridge freezer that generally just works. Would it be worth changing the fridge seal, has anybody tried to do that - on a spare part seller video it looks like like a very simple operation, but I just don't believe that it is that simple! Any previous experience?Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

@ldee2111 that's pretty much what any frozen shop bought potato dishes are.
Had a great time at FILs, fantastic sleep and then a walk in sunny (rare!!) Glasgow. Now back home and catching up on housework that hasn't been done in my absence 🙄. And prepared houmous, eggs and milled grains for work snacks.

Hope you’ve all had a good Sunday, turtles. This morning OH, DS and I went to a large country park so that DS could finally try out his bike from the man with the bag.Had lentil soup from the freezer for lunch while OH made our next batch… chicken and rice. I also microwaved and baked 6 potatoes for freezing because we received such a big bag of them from Morries grocery delivery (they don’t seem to allow individual items when shopping via the River Retailer).Hopefully we’ll use the rest up between mashed tatties and chips! There’s still around £52 left on the river retailer gift card which I’ll use up on next week’s groceries and also use the final £10 discount code.TheeBay sent an email offering £5 of a minimum £10 spend. I took up their offer and bought two Top Trumps card games for DS’s birthday which is in a couple of month’s time. Also bought a good travel mug from TheeBay for OH’s young cousin - it’s her birthday next week and she leaves soon to do her next stint as a holiday entertainer… this season she’s going to be on a cruise liner covering Singapore and Australia… lucky thing ❤️Played loads of card games with DS today but it’s never enough… he’s got us scheduled in for Monopoly Bid after dinner…… talking of dinner, tonight I’m trying a new recipe from one of the Asian cook books I borrowed from the library earlier this week. Put bookmarks in next to some other recipes I’d like to try too.A decent Sunday sweep today from our transport, food, and leisure budgets going into mortgage OP and holiday savings.Transport £15Food £60 (using River Retailer vouchers)Leisure £40Grateful today for a dry day, quality time with DS and OH, for finding out that baked potatoes can be frozen(!), and for having time to relax in the back room and catch up with Turtles’ updates.

I try and play more board and card games with the kids. But we did that way too often when I was a kid as there were no screens, lol. Loved it in after-school club as we got taught so many card games. But at home my dad was either way to good (he's a really good chess player) or cheated without us noticing which put me off plus I'm a sore loser.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/258 -
15/1 and still 9 NSDs, but I did only buy bread so I'm happy enough with that- does make the "new freezer" idea a bit more prominent (I had a big freezer, it didn't fit in this house so I just have a small one left by previous owner, my life is easier with a big freezer but I've never quite got organised enough to sort it out). With a big freezer I would have room for a spare loaf for these situations. And frozen baked potatoes - do you reheat from frozen? In the microwave?
Loving all your talk of sunny days- we have snow!
