I slept really badly last night after a horrid customer annoyed me at work, had horrible dreams, then woke up with a crick in my neck and a sore ankle (???), anyway, went back to work, and I am now sat in the bus station waiting for my bus home. We were let out late again so another half hour wait for the bus. Boo!
Agreed to work tomorrow instead of next weekend, so Friday will be my last day there. I am now counting down the days. Tomorrow at 6pm I can count them all on one hand!
NSD 9 as well!

14/1 and I've jumped to 9NSDs (thank you @apple_muncher for the fuel allowance prompt) Nothing spent today, and I won't be spending anything now.
I've read a few work related magazines, and they have gone to the recycling. No other decluttering or tidying done. I did manage a walk earlier but no real exercise.
It's been really cold here today and I'm wrapped in a blanket on the sofa with a hot water bottle, planning an early night.
Tomorrow might be more productive.8 -
Forgot to say this morning that I was also grateful for seeing the northern lights in our back garden last night. Not as bright as some of the other areas nearby, but could still be seen with the naked eye 🥰
An extremely wet day. Did 3/4 of YWA, then felt quite queasy & headache, so I stopped. Lay on the bed a little while, then had breakfast & put in my 'waterproofs' (coat leaked in numerous places), & walked to the post office & back. Read more of my book whilst eating my dinner, used up some slightly dried salad out the fridge - it is getting clearer! Did the ironing, then spent the rest of the day sewing the memory bear. It's now finished 😃 Did a bit more Norwegian too.
Grateful for good songs on the radio, good TV to watch whilst sewing, & for being warm & dry by the fire.
@firsview hope DS is ok now, a big scare for you both. Hope you all feel better soon xUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Didn't sleep well Friday - Saturday and when I did manage to get some sleep I woke up feeling strangely disjointed, so yesterday was a take it easy kind of day. Some distressing symptoms which I hope is yet another sign of this awful bug departing. Have trashed my food budget by doing another same day delivery order and mostly based on wants (as in what various bits of me craved to help ease the pain. My bakes from the day before fed me yesterday as well (eaten cold because I couldn't summon the energy to get downstairs, but I did take a lot of the excess pastry off).
With my positive head on, there are still things in the fridge and freezer that will feed me (even opening a can of soup felt beyond me), I have lots of drinks, I'm having more water, I found a salmon and broccoli ready meal in their freezer when I was hunting for an ice lolly, I still have yoghurts from my previous order and the strawberry cheesecake, eaten not quite fully defrosted, eased my throat and brought my temperature down so I was comfortable enough to sleep without painkillers and had an open choice on what to take later if needed. And a few good food choices in the order too including grapes and a 'ready coleslaw kit' - ready shredded with the dressing separate.
Grateful for a long catch up chat with my helper elf (my brother's ex-wife) - I've now had to charge up my phone for the third time this week. She came back from the USA (a much better visit this time), tested positive for COVID, was negative in time to go to an aunt's funeral last week, but my younger niece then tested positive. She's also had to postpone her long awaited and much needed work on converting her bathroom. the contractor insisted he could still come and do the work (when she had COVID) but she explained that the people he was doing the work for (including her) are all elderly/ disabled or both and extremely vulnerable and he couldn't come into a COVID house and then work in other houses, spreading COVID even if he was asymptomatic. After getting in touch with the Council, he's delaying the work (for all the reasons she told him in the first place).
Grateful for finally getting to read most of my festive gift reading, still having fun with Mrs Maisel (have another series lined up and may try another film or repeat a couple) and spending time on the couch downstairs yesterday - went down to wait for the food delivery as DS3 had come upstairs, did the ice lolly hunt (still have lemon sorbet somewhere) and then stayed on the couch reading - no trips to the bins, shoving soup in the microwave (I'd love some onion soup but worried about side effects). My ambitious plan for today is to make some meals (that might only be putting things in the microwave although chopping veg and throwing together a salad would be wonderful) and maybe do some baby steps with the laundry and washing up (so grateful that I'd washed and dried nearly every sheet, towel and item of clothing I possess). I'd love to redo the bed but not sure if lugging heavy items of bedding about is a good idea.
My plan for the week is sorting/ making progress on food (as outlined above), clothes and paperwork (need facts and figures to throw at my brother - won't stop him worrying but it should cut off some of his wider speculating) and to feel more in control. And less ill, less ill would be very, very good.8 -
Sunday 15th January 2023
This year will not end the same way as the last because
* You've grown through your pain and struggles
* Learned from your mistakes
* Cultivated your passion (does sleep count)
* Worked on your dreams
* Experienced ups and downs
So this time it will be different and amazing

Morning turtles
yesterday was a good day. Had a table booked at an Irish pub for the football and I went just for the ‘fish’ (battered halloumi) and chips and mushy peas and then left. Spent the rest of the day at a friend’s house making a complicated moving greetings card with printed photos inside… it took about 5 hours (!!) to make but the result is lovely. Friend has all the crafting gear.
got to know a friend of hers who came round as well which was nice.

Morning turtlesYesterday I was meant to work at my part-time job at an outdoor walk, but the weather was miserable so it was cancelled - after I'd already got up for my alarm of course! Lost some extra income but also grateful to have stayed dry! I went to meet a friend for coffee and breakfast, I paid for parking and she insisted on paying for food. I'll have to repay her next time. We had a good natter putting the world to rights for a couple of hours.Came home, did some washing and cleaning, batch cooked some lunches, then did a workout with my pilates bar.
Today should be a NSD. Will be off to see my share pony soon, currently feeling cold so just sitting under a duvet on the sofa until I warm up!NSD's - 7Healthy food days - 10Workouts this week - 69 -
