Afternoon Turtles. NSD today as did the shopping yesterday instead of today. Was seduced by a huge reduced jar of mincemeat that I think I may make mincemeat blondies out of as they freeze well and it needs using by the end of January. My sister makes us a hamper every Xmas so the cupboards are full of chocolate, biscuits and strange flavoured chutney (probably not as much chutney as Tonisfriend!) Every time she tries to find something different to package it in and this year it was an absolutely enormous plant pot which I am going to repot a hydrangea into that has outgrown its pot.
Weighed myself this morning and 3lb of the 5lb I put on over Xmas has gone already. Still have a stone to go which I am determined to lose before I go on holiday in July.
Dragged one of my customers to his bank earlier to change my standing order to monthly rather than 4 weekly which will make it easier to budget. I have 2 customers who pay me 4 weekly and I find it really annoying. Luckily OH earns enough to pay all the bills without me needing to contribute or it would involve some juggling.
Off to make some dumplings now to go with the beef casserole now as I randomly found a pack of beef skirt in the freezer yesterday.

Evening turtlesI had a busy day today workwise, didn't get half the stuff done that I had planned but that's the way this job goes sometimes.I dropped my bike off to be fixed today, should be able to collect it tomorrow morning, only £35.I was going to go to boxing class this evening but I have a headache and my back's hurting so I thought I'd better give it a miss. Have done some exercises for my back but wouldn't count that as a proper workout as such.NSD's - 3Healthy food days - 4Workouts this week - 511

The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are. JP Morgan.Sorry to be rather late with my quote contribution!Today I am grateful for dc going to school, for prepping some work, for a picture on my wall of a chubby pug in a dark turquoise simple dress and cap lifting a barbell - it makes me smile, for a short walk this evening, for the moon looking very attractive tonight.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!10

5/1 still on 3 NSDs, but I have been shopping, with a list but there were many empty spaces on the supermarket shelves- do we still blame Brexit, or Russia or is it just the way it is now? Or did I just happen to shop before a delivery arrived? Who knows, whatever the reason I got what I could, fudged the list a bit and should be good to feed DD, myself and the animals for a few days at least. As I had lost the NSD anyway I have also ordered a new pair of wellies as mine have sprung a leak and cold, wet, muddy socks are no fun at all.
Topped it off by ordering the next 2 books in a series for DD on ebay. 2nd hand and 50% off the 2nd book so it worked out a reasonable price per book and saves me from searching for the books in charity shops! I will keep my eyes open for the later books in the hope I can pick some up for bargain prices- will depend how fast she reads them 😂.
I did get rid of a couple of bags of "stuff" today as well, not the CS bag but outgrown clothes, books and games of DDs passed on to a work colleague for younger children.
Lunch packed for tomorrow so provided I remember to pick it up in the morning it should be fairly easy to keep my purse zipped shut.

First day back at work. Only pressed snooze on my alarm clock once 😂 did both lots of exercises, though wasn't overly impressed with the routine of the first one! Good job there's lots to choose from eh?! Made lunch for today & tomorrow. It was nice to see everyone again, some of the pupils were pleased to see me too.
After work, I met DS3's G/F & we went for a walk. Halfway round, the rain came down, but at least the wind was behind us 😊 Waited with her at the bus stop before I drove home. Stopped at the village shop on my way back, got some y/s veg & mum's TV mag (had money off it).
DS1 helped me out money into my sinking fund envelopes & I worked out how much money I need to find to pay me back for our flights to Norway, then food)spending money. Luckily I'd got 3/4 of the flights money already saved 😃 Had a soak in the bath with a magazine. Downloaded the free language learning app to brush up on my Norwegian too.
Grateful for time with G/F, money saved, free apps, a nice bathUse it up, wear it out

Good morning, today will be another NSD. Still full of the cold or flu and not leaving the house. Plus it's absolutely howling outside. Better check for damage later. But the wind might be good for the washing if it calms down a bit.
I'm still off but might do some work later to get a headstart. Otherwise not really got a plan. Just getting through the day is good just now.
Fake away Friday, HM spicy chicken wings for us and chicken nuggets and chips for the kids.

Update for yesterday.
First day back in the office. Went quickly & still productive. Nice to see my work friends.
Bit lazy & did a click & collect for t£sco instead of going to @ldi for cheaper bits and topping up with t£sco. Still under budget so may continue this just to save time and improve life!! Also got fuel and ink for printer so still NSD 2/15 yesterday.Watched footy and helped ds access a game on his pc. Passwords & logins are a nightmare in this house with everyone expecting me to know what they’ve changed them to. Alcohol free day.
Glad it’s Friday. Will pop back later with todays update.Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£2609
