Today I am grateful for a lie in, for the 3m long aerial not doing any damage when it came off the house in the wind, for playing monopoly deal uno with dc, for having our sproutday lunch - finally!!!- of steak and lots of yumminess, for still being sugar free, for a relaxing day, for a fabulous haircut- not had once since Sept.

Evening Turtles. Would have been an NSD but Mr Nobody ate almost an entire loaf of bread in the night. Briefly toyed with the idea of making some but decided I couldn’t be bothered to wrestle the bread maker out of my ‘excess appliance’ shelving in the utility. Until recently I would have made it by hand but kneading really hurts my fingers now as does rubbing in when I make pastry. I do hope I am not getting arthritis, but I suppose I will be 60 next month and am otherwise very fit and healthy so resorting to using a bread maker is a small price to pay.
Cleared the loft out a bit due to the ongoing condensation problem up there. Took out 3 huge boxes of books and threw everything that I had already replaced on my Kindle. They couldn’t have gone to charity as some of them were wet and smelly and the rest were badly bent. I managed to salvage all of my old childhood Enid Blyton books though which are drying out on a towel on the dining table. Also washed all of the garden furniture cushions which were going mouldy up there.
Today I am grateful for rescuing my old books, finally getting around to watching tv I recorded at Xmas as it was raining today and it being Saturday so I am allowed a pizza!9 -
Damn that Mr Nobody - he acts the same way at my house.Did not wake up until 9.45 this morning, so now terrified I might be coming down with something. It is not normal behaviour for me, borrowed DS2s bus pass and took myself off to work, came home.Lovely DH had saved some lunch for me to microwave. So NSD5. Not going to work for the next two days, going to concentrate on cleaning and clearing the house some more.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Morning Turtles,
I have been missing in action, had 2 spend days - including booking flights to Dublin. I am very much notincg the increase in food process this week, it really quite shocking. Plus the amount of empty shelves at Sainsbugs is really quite surprising too.
Now, this doesn't sound much but, it's really important. I have been out walking for an average of 2.5 miles per day every day with a range of 1.8-3.2 miles. All of last year I was in quite a boom and bust cycle with everything and my goals and resolutions all relate to consistency. Looking back n my iPhone data I can really see the spikes in activity. I'd go out for a walk and then not do anything for days! -so the old adage little and often is being applied to activity and cleaning up! And of course the 30 plants a week.
I went out to see if I should see the full moon on Friday and yesterday, but no joy, too cloudy in Brighton. It was incredibly windy and the sea had a lot to say yesterday afternoon!

I've been awake for several hours but a combination of pills, cold soft drinks and beetroot (couldn't get the jar of pickles open) have eased my throat so I'm going to have a little sleep now. have written down several quotes for later.12

Morning turtles, I bagged my first NSD yesterday. It was a very lazy day although I did also lots of admin stuff, set budgets and finally got around to marking things on the calendar etc. I also updated my sig to show my student loan which I have realised I kind of ignore and consider myself "debt free" since I don't have any high interest debt and I have savings to cover it, but I would like to be mindful that it is still there.
Must get up and go for a walk today... it's raining at the moment but not too hard so that shouldn't stop me. Planning to batch cook a potato curry and a bean stew for the week.
Grateful for the sound of the rain this morning while I was in bed, for a duvet day yest, for feeling motivated this morning to get up fairly early (compared to the last couple of days!) for coffee.
Have a restful Sunday!Student loan £5655
House deposit €23,583K/€40k11 -
Good morning, little set back on my sober journey yesterday as we had a wee tipple. I reset my counter as it would be cheating otherwise, want to be more honest this time. Stupid "last weekend before reality" thing. Hey Ho. At least now definitely no booze left in the house and onwards and upwards.
Today will be NSD, just doing stuff round the house and getting ready for tomorrow. DH made HM pizza last night so we'll be having the SC Korean beef tonight.

Morning all, been a busy couple of days. Very windy on our island Friday morning, so even though I woke in time to exercise, I chose to stay cosy in bed instead! Did go for a walk after work with my friend, so will count that as my exercise that day! Work was a bit up & down, but folk still getting back into a routine, so may take a little time. Took mum shopping, she'd forgotten I was staying the night with her. It was my big shop time, did half Fri night whilst mum was looking round, in case those items had sold out Sat morning. Was pleased I had, some bare areas had been restocked but others had sold out. Watched a film together then went to bed.
Saturday I took mum to work, met a customer wanting me to make a memory bear for her Granny, then did the rest of the shopping. Took a while to put it all away, then had a nap for 20 mins. I'd been invited next door for drinks after tea, so had a laugh & a moan with them.
Sunday, planning it to be a NSD. Looked online at our bank account & the insurance money has finally been paid in 🎉🎉🎉 Feel motivated now to start clearing the decks, selling unwanted items, etc to add to the coffers for building the extension at long, long last 😃
Grateful for time with friends, fun with mum, insurance payout finally appearing, full moon to light my way home last night, excitement & motivationUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

I have not put on any weight - good thing!! I said goodbye to my fave colleague at work yesterday and we swapped numbers. I am going to be better at keeping in touch with people this year. That is my better me - honestly I am rubbish, but we pick up just where we left off, as soon as we are back together again. So being better at keeping in touch, and I am going to start booking holidays. I have never done this properly. Odd when I have the diary, and the wheels, to get places.Sent off an email on spec to the lady who books me, and have now 21 days of work booked in from Feb/Sept. Not bad for one email, and there will be more to come.Don't be afraid of asking for what you want, or what you need. Someone may well come up with the goods. The Universe will provide and all that.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
