Today was my non working day and I had a lovely lie in until 8am (almost never sleep past 7!). Took my friend's dog for a very muddy walk, did a few jobs around the house and then went to pilates at lunchtime (pre-paid). Came home and read my book and that's pretty much been it! Planning a soak in the bath shortly.I did meter readings and we'd gone £5 in debit for the first time ever I think. This month I had budgeted our full DD amount for energy as I thought we may go into debit so sent the difference between that and the government top up payment onto our account so we're now £60 in credit. I know it's been a cold month but the money just seems to be disappearing.Anyway, another task for today was to sort out my interest rates on various accounts and find better ones. I've opened 3 new savings accounts today, once they're all fully up and running I'll transfer my money over and close the old ones. I was getting no more than 0.5% and now I have 2 at nearly 3% and others at just over 1% thanks to Martin's email. It's not loads but it's certainly better than it was!NSD's - 5Healthy food days - 6Workouts this week - 111

Unexpected day off tomorrow. DH's dad is not well so he rushed to Glasgow tonight. The schools are striking tomorrow. Hope he's gonna be ok. Might not be an NSD as I said might take the kids to the trampoline park but might have take the bus or taxi, need to research.
Will probably use the day to batch cook mince based dishes. Been watching the batchlady and got some inspirationDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/259 -

Evening turtles!
What a Monday!! Spent my work day sorting out everyone else mess and then couldn’t complete a lot of my own work due to things not being done correctly before getting to me. or just not completed yet. Grrrr!!! It’s financial year end and I should be closing the books this Friday but can’t see that happening.Every January I update my CV, actually laughed when I read my current role & responsibilities I had last year & how they’ve morphed into so much more and bizarre now.
Went to dentist, toothache had weirdly disappeared and she suggested it may have been a sinus problem. I haven’t felt well for about 4 weeks so it could be that. I even took a covid test this morning as I felt a bit off. So strange as on Saturday I would have gladly had all my teeth removed it was so painful.I’ve ‘decluttered’ the last mince pie and finished the ice cream. A bottle of red wine we had as a gift has been opened & DH is currently demolishing the last box of chocolates that should really be eaten at 8:01pm 😉. All very naughty for a Monday!!
Today was supposed to be my back to normal reset day with ds going back to school but it’s become a bit of a ‘last supper’ day. There’s always tomorrow! Kitchen looks better for it though!
Not an NSD as had to pay the dentist although was nice to have a pot with money in ready for that.Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£2609 -

9/1, NSD 6.
@grandmanerd, definitely don't hand keys over until you have the money. That all sounds like a real pain, hopefully by February it will all be sorted.
@f0xh0les, maybe DS4 has started a new year health kick and has walked to school?
DD was back to school today, and off tomorrow as the teachers are striking. I'm very lucky that my parents will look after her, but for many parents the childcare issues are horrendous.9 -
Well, did club run with my new jumper on, lights strapped on and my newly washed shoes. Def my best running me, cooked a grand risotto from second day chicken and some vegetable that got a bit frozen in fridge, that's lunch sorted for tomorrow as well.

It's been a strange day. Really fed up now, I can do bits of things (more clean washing upstairs, next load in, cleared away everything from behind the front door, small boxes broken down and headed for the bin, large strong boxes collapsed flat and will be saved) but the cumulative effect of the bug is wearing me out (lots of napping).
Up to the last season of my series so think I'll try to limit myself to one episode a day. Food order came, not sure if it's what I need - took ages yesterday as the internet kept cutting out and many things I wanted were not available. Put the order through anyway in case the internet cut out again - at least I have soft bread buns, one sandwich filling, grapes and non caffeinated drinks (I'm all caffeined up today). I need to book that hotel room - trying to find one that met my needs and narrowed it down to wheelchair accessible (nearest to what I need - it has grab bars round the toilet so I'm hoping the shower is okay too) and there are some bits I need to buy (wouldn't necessarily lose an NSD buying on another day as they're medical/ support items.
Put my positive head back on - think I'll look through the list I gave you yesterday and pick out extras. Not just sleeping when necessary and easy to swallow food but some pampering/ mood boosting things to do - it's probably time for another film (I know which series I want to try next) and candles and taking a bit of extra care over my food (mum always said I made the salads I gave her look so inviting, think that may be what I need. And just keep plodding on with the list, clear a bit of space, decide what's going in it (if it's a drawer or similar) and then add to it ads I find things. Today's treasure - £1'20 in the bottom of a bag, 3 or more pens, my door key (the keyring it was on broke and I tried keeping it in one of the credit card slots in my purse but then it fell out), another library book (a short Christmas story).8 -
Good evening 🌖
Hi all.. <slinks in and hides under chaise-lounge>
Like a few others on here I have been out of sorts - must be something in the air. Giving up ones addictions is harder than it looks!! To boot the bathroom ceiling sprang a leak from the apartment above - but should be sorted this week. So it's all good!!!
On target with budget - lost 2 kg since Christmas I think... but sadly lagging in my good habit building.
Today = NSD number 3 (still) due to random buys, Must try to consolidate spending.
I have been grateful for:
1) New experiences
2) New people in my life
3) Feeling better in my mood
