Sounds like something the police ought to be made aware of @Toni'sfriend . Hope that your hospital appointment is soon over and done with, with a positive outcome.I generally marinate salmon before cooking it. Our favourite is (for 2 or 3 salmon fillets) 3 tablespoons soy sauce, about 1 cm grated ginger, a crushed garlic clove, half - 1 chopped red chilli and 1-2 chopped spring onions (depending on size). place all in a shallow dish, lay the salmon fillets in it, skin side down first, then turn so that the flesh side is down. Cover tightly as it smells quite strong, and place in the fridge for at least an hour. You can scale up the marinade if you are cooking for more people. When you want to cook it, shake the marinade from the fillets (keeping the marinade) and fry in a small amount of butter and oil (if you add a little bit of oil it stops butter from burning) till cooked through. For the last minute or so, tip over the marinade and heat through. Don't let it bubble for ages though as the soy is salty, and if it reduces too much will make the dish too salty. Serve with either rice or new potatoes and a green vegetable or salad, with the pan juices tipped over. There are other recipes on the BBC Good Food web site if you don't fancy that one - this one didn't come from there, but from a friend, who got a version of it from a magazine years ago - you know how recipes get around

That recipe sounds lovely, Dawn. I think I'll give that a try.
Unfortunately, there is no real evidence re the intruder so the police can't do much but all the neighbours are aware now and checking regularly for anything suspicious.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10 -

Today I am grateful for the NHS, and how they have helped my son for the last 18 months. I just wrote the first social media post about my sons encephalitis 18 months and his situation is still improving. Completed both sets of exercises. Had leftover stir-fry & noodles to take for dinner today, so didn't need to prep anything before going to work, so time to catch up on emails. A lovely pupil free day, did lots of cutting out if resources & laminating, then colouring for a walk display this afternoon. Cut out more flowers from last year's calendar for card making, cut out the pieces for a memory bear, then went in the bath with my book. A very relaxed evening 😊
Grateful for a lovely day, daylight on my way home, spending time with my work besties, singing along to songs on one of their playlistsUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
