Checking in with 3 NSDs so far.Tomorrow is grocery shopping and my budget is ready, though I’m hoping to tweak things where I can. It’s looking like my expenses are actually higher than my income and I’m going to be left with very little for grocery shopping for 5 people and fuel for the car.I’ve said I’m available for extra shifts but as I can’t do full days, only between school hours, I’m not expecting anything to be sent my way.I’m going to be searching for batch cooking recipes and ways to save money on groceries, also need to see what I’ve got in the house that I can sell.My priority is to keep paying down my debts, though some of those payments will have to be reduced. I’ve already cut everything I can from my expenses. But I’m still grateful to be in the position I am, have a roof over our heads, good job prospects when I finish uni, and am relatively healthy.13

The day she let go of the things that were weighing her down, was the day she began to shine the brightest.

I sent that quote to someone yesterday, who was struggling, & she really liked it
Sorry been AWOL, had a lot of visiting to cram in before my return to work today. I've now reached 3 NSDs, had to get milk yesterday. I've had a lovely few days crafting with friends whilst chatting, or just having a good catch up. Still keeping up with my exercises & yoga, plus fitting in a walk most days too.
Wishing all the ill people feel better soon.
Grateful for friends, craft, good stories, finding £1 coin in the lining of my CS coat I was replacing the zip inUse it up, wear it out

Thank you apple. Here's one to start with
I am pieces of all the places I've been and all the people I have loved. I've been stitched together by song lyrics, book quotes, adventures, late night conversations, moonlight and the smell of coffee

Yesterday was okay, quite painful (I woke up and realised I didn't know where I was up to with cough medicine and other things, so I stopped them all until late evening), a bit messy (having a coughing fir when you've just picked up your drink is not recommended). The bathroom makes me smile every time I go in (I cleaned most of the fixtures between 1st and 3rd January - the floor is a work in progress) and I'm nudging along several other areas.
I have a mountain of paperwork but not sure I'm clear headed enough yet. Lots of reading and sleeping. I'm grateful for easy food (went in search of the fish pie but found a veg lasagne first - not thrilling but warm and comforting, followed by a whole tub of raspberry sorbet). Another slice of brisket and veg and sliced and diced the rest whilst waiting. Good books, an enjoyable series (with a guilty pleasure of a film when I couldn't concentrate), all you lovely turtles.

Good morning, didn't get much done yesterday apart from essentials. So got up, had lemsip and shower and got dressed properly to see if that helps. At least for a couple of hours this morning. Might drag the kids out for a walk in the lovely dreich weather we have before the downpour. Planning on getting the craft cupboard sorted with the kids at least.

NSD No 5
I've had a very self indulgent day. I didn't get up till 10.00am. Apparently I was fast asleep and Himself didn't want to wake me as I haven't been sleeping well.
I had cancelled our flights to Amsterdam. No refund according to the terms and conditions but I asked the company to cancel them anyway because I wanted them to be available if someone else needed them. Surprise. They came back and said they would give us a partial refund. I'd written the money off so that that was a really positive outcome.
So we've spent the afternoon watching A Spy Among Friends. I love a good spy story. And I've finished my first book of the year and moved on to number two. Might manage to read 50 this year if I keep at it.
Had an omelette for lunch and we'll finish the chilli for dinner.
Still tired so an early night.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11
