  • Does anyone know where I can find a list of the 2024 savings challenges on here? Or the 2023 ones just to see what the options currently are? I'd like to aim a bit higher next year too, but I'm looking for something in between this one and the 12k one, as there's no way on earth I'd manage that.
  • #33 reporting £42.77 for October giving a total of £622.44 plus £10.61 interest.
The end is in sight especially as I'm working mostly backwards. I'm not sure what I'll be spending this on as it's far too early for me to think about Christmas and I'll be using my 0% cc for that anyway.

  • I realise this is late but I started this on the 10th Jan 2023. I’m finding it harder now but so worth it!! I’m transferring the savings daily into a 1 year bond. Hoping to start 2024’s a before Christmas 2023, so it matures at the time I need it the most! Also going to try it backwards.

Hi everyone, here is my Friday update.

This week I chose the following random numbers:
    35, 144, 104, 69, 361, 292 and 274 = 1279 so £12.79 going into the pot.

    #45 new total is £538.18

I appear to have more numbers left than days, despite updating every week?! I think I'll keep going until 24 November as that's my last day in this current job. Christmas is accounted for elsewhere so this pot may well be used to fund my next JoGLE leg which we are planning for April - Crewe to Bristol. Usually £600ish per leg and this will be a big chunk towards it.

Thanks as ever to @enthusiasticsaver for running this thread, and to all contributors for their updates. Very motivating to see what others are doing/using their funds for.

You do not have to do £12k.  I have bought a car this year so that decimated my savings so I have set a target of £5k.

7 more numbers coloured in from 2.60 to 2.66 so £18.41 added to my savings space.  Up to £355.11 now  so catching back up again after  raiding the pot for my new car.

    Spreadsheet updated.

Thank you ES - #17 reporting in

I am working down my pre-picked list of random numbers and October's total is £57.88 to my Bonus saver  (am already topping up reg savers so this will have to do).  This takes my challenge total for 2023 up to £564.58

I have just transferred £41.49 from Prolific into my virtual pot.

    Have crossed off:
    £1.71 - £1.73 inclusive
    £1.75 - £1.78 inclusive
    £1.80 - £1.92 inclusive
    £1.94 -£1.95
    and
£1.23 ( should actually be £1.20 to make total £41.49, but I had already previously crossed £1.20 off my list, so added 3p to my physical tin to cross off £1.23)
