I realised I need to shell out £519 for a Feb golfing holiday and next month is my last regular payday while the sports I cover wind down until January so I might knock off November and December and then have the money to pay the holiday off by 19th December. Second time it has all worked out that way - this is such a fantastic challenge. ~Count me in again for next year, whoever takes up the mantle

Just added another £27.15 to my savings  space and ticked off 2.67 to 2.76.  Total of £382.26 now so catching back up after the pot raiding to buy the car.

    Hi everyone,

Here is my latest Friday update. This week I chose the following random numbers:
    358, 240, 135, 75, 141, 122 and 162 = 1233 so £12.33 going into the pot.

    #45 new total is £550.51

Two more updates to go. I'm changing jobs so feels a good time to take stock. Looking forward to doing this again next year too!

Thanks as ever to @enthusiasticsaver for running this challenge.

  • Getting ever closer to the end of the year now.

I fly out to Cyprus tomorrow so won't be on here for the next week. I will hopefully be able to top up my November savings later on in the month but I have a day out with friends when we return from holiday in a few weeks time and lunch out with other friends on 30th November so will wait until those have been paid out for.

  • Happy Monday savers.  I am back from my holidays now and suffering a bit with the wet weather here after a week of gorgeous sunshine at 25-27 degrees every day.  Last attempt to get some sunshine this year.

We bought some euros back so that is even better and I have managed to squirrel a further £28.15 into my savings challenge which now stands at £410.41 after the decimation of the pot last month for my new car. Still aiming to catch up by the end of the year as Christmas will be a cheaper affair this year as my daughter tells me our  grandchildren have far too many toys and not to go overboard on presents for them. We will probably put some money in their bank accounts though so  I don't suppose it will really be cheaper.

10 numbers coloured in up to £2.86 now.

    Spreadsheet updated.

Glad you had a good time @enthusiasticsaver x

Here is my Friday update. This week I've chosen the largest numbers still left on the spreadsheet:
    359, 352, 350, 348, 347, 344 and 343 = 2443 so £24.43 going into the pot.

    #45 new total is £586.80

I had thought to stop after this week as I start a new job next week and might not get time to update, however I will see how it goes. Would like to continue to year end if possible.

If not, then the current total will finance my next JoGLE walking trip in April as it's usually c. £600 per trip for travel, accommodation and food.

Hope everyone else is doing okay and thanks to @enthusiasticsaver for motivating us all xx
