Thanks @thegreenhouse I do have the new car and it is lovely. I have not yet given up on catching back up again though and in that spirit I have knocked off 14 numbers this week from 2.96 to 3.10 and added £42.49 to the savings space on my Starling account. So back up to £485.05. I am aiming to add to it every Friday from now until 29.12.23 so will see how I get on.
Enjoy your weekend and on to the final month of the challenge.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Hello each,
So here we are in December and the final month of the challenge. I’m going to keep it simple this time so that my final challenge figure in December is £600 which gives me a total of £4000 for the year. I’m so glad I got involved in this challenge and have surprised myself at just what is achievable when you put your mind to it.
To this end I hope to join the ‘Save £12K in 2024’ challenge for next year…wish me luck!
Thanks @enthusiasticsaver for running this challenge and I look forward to even better results in 2024 (fingers crossed)!
So, my final update for December 2023 being….
#86 Topscooby £600 giving a grand total of £4000£12k in 2025 #27 ( £7,000 / £12000 ) 🤞
£12k in 2024 #18 (£14,000 / £12,000)…Goal surpassed 🙏

Thank you for running the thread enthusiasticsaver.
In November I potted £131.52 for this thread, which should have left me £20.49 left to pot for the year. But on my "chart" (actually notes on my phone), there is £22.05 worth of numbers to cross off (*eye roll at self*). The discrepancy shouldn't irritate me, but it does. Tonight I have spent a few hours- checked , double-checked, and cross- referenced with my posts on here throughout the year..........ridiculous, really. Especially considering that on top of the aforementioned £131.52 I saved for November, I earnt another £466.80 on Prolific surveys in the last 3 weeks, which more than covers the £20.49/£22.05 needed to meet this challenge's target. This means officially I have finished the challenge for this year (and most of the 2024 challenge as well
I look forward to starting again next year. Thank you again for all your work on the thread enthusiasticsaver

Hi everyone, Hi @enthusiasticsaver#101 reporting current totalsI have been quitely squirreling the savings away for the savings challenge and currently sitting at £660. My challenge ends in December pay and will be adding another £120 to the pot.I have been following a slightly enhanced challenge of adding £10 each month, so January was £10, Feb was £20. Next year we are going to continue the challenge and add some extra cash where we can!
