The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2023

I have volunteered to run this thread in 2023 as it is a popular challenge on the MSE Forum. Many thanks to @outoftheviciouscircle and @elsiepac for running it so well in the past. I am new to it but will be participating myself in the challenge and hope others will join me and we can motivate each other.
The aim is to save £667.95 by the end of 2023 by saving 1p on 1st January, 2p on 2nd January and so on all the way up to £3.65 on 31 December.
I attach a link to a chart and I understand some people save differently by starting with £3.65 on 1 January and working backwards or just picking random amounts on the chart and ticking them off. I will be monitoring my progress on a spreadsheet so if you want to pop on and record your progress throughout the year that is fine and I will endeavour to keep track throughout the year.
Here is the link to the chart created by MSE showing the daily amounts.

@MSE_Molly has written a 2022 blog which can be found here
How to save £667.95 in 2022 with the 1p Savings Challenge (moneysavingexpert.com)
If you would like to join the challenge for 2023 post on the thread at the bottom and I will allocate a number. It doesn't matter whether you post daily, weekly, monthly or only occasionally but sharing savings tips might be fun.
Personally I intend to save monthly into a savings space on my Starling bank account.
Please come and join me. Just comment below and I will add your name to the list. I will post a link to this thread in the 2022 challenge for those who have been saving this year and want to carry on.
Here is the link to a sheet I will update as we go as to our progress.

Hi could you add me for this year, I kind of do it already but miss days as not recording my weekly amount just colouring in a spread sheet. This should keep me on track more.It is the job that is never started that takes the longest to finish. Tolkien.Save 12k in 2025 No 18 365 1p challenge 2025 No 22

You can keep on track however you wish but there is a chart you can print off and stick on your fridge or whatever and tick off daily to help motivate you if you want? I will update the top post monthly with amounts saved so far if people want to keep track that way.

Hello @enthusiasticsaver
I saw you mention this challenge on another thread so here I am hoping to join.I’ve started the 365 day challenge as part of what I want to achieve for the Sealed pot challenge. I started from 1st November and pick my amounts between 1 and 365 at random. I’ve knocked out the 3 biggest amounts (363 to 365) and whilst I hope to be able to save the full amount in 365 days, I might not end up managing to.
Is my haphazard way of doing it ok with you, or does it have to run 1 Jan to 31 Dec? Thanks27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 52 -

Do you already have a number allocated? If not, are you happy being #4?
I don't mind how you do it and no problem that your 365 days will presumably run from 1 November 2022 to 31 October 2022 or do you want the extra 2 months so 1 November to 31 December?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
