Hi!! im new to all of this, ca somebody explain? what are the numbers for? id ask for one but i dont understand what its for?
Hopefully you now know what this is for.  The numbers I am allocating though are just reference numbers to make it easier for me when reporting monthly or weekly or whatever as to how much is saved.

In a nutshell the penny challenge works 1p for 1 January, 2p  for 2 January and so on up until £3.65 on  31 December.  There is a link to a chart on the first post.

All chores done for tomorrow so I have been chilling with a pre xmas beer and pondering the coin challenge - by my calculations using as few coins as possible each day I will need 1543 coins by the end of the year - the most per day is 7 (£1.98, £1.99 and the £2.98 and £2.99)

I think that might prove logistically challenging so will definitely use notes and bunch up every week or every other week so that should keep some of the shrapnel out of it.

Hmm interesting pondering there. Too much pondering for me after a couple of proseccos ;). I think you will definitely need notes if you intend doing it in cash.

I like round numbers so I intend to tick off the first 6 days up to 6 January and then £2.79 to make it up to £3 for week 1.

This challenge is a bit more interesting than others in that the amounts are not the same each week. I will check it off my chart to keep track plus update the spreadsheet of course.

Merry Christmas everyone and we are getting that bit closer to 2023.
