Hi ES - can you add me.  I like the idea of random amounts throughout the year.  I'm tempted to go old school and use actual cash - we are planning a holiday to see my brother in a different time zone in 2024 - this will be a nice amount of spends.  Any number will do
I have added you as number 17.  Saving in actual cash sounds like a good idea.  I rarely use cash these days but it is motivating to see the pot fill up with actual coins  and notes. I am using ours towards a 2024 holiday too.

#17 is good.  I have been thinking about cash, and that's a lot of coins.  I may keep a mental note as we go and then use notes plus a smaller amount of small change as necessary.
I think I saw you in an ice-cream parlour/Drinking milk shakes cold & long/Smiling & waving & looking so fine

It is a lot of coins and on the higher amounts it might be tricky to find that much in coinage. As you say you could use £5 or £10 notes and tick off 2 or 3 figures which add up to that?

Ha ha - very true - but sometimes mistakes means you treat what you have learned with more respect.
