Sorry I've not updated in a while. I've had a nightmare with roofs leaking, flooding and ceilings collapsing 😱, but I have finally finished the challenge!

    October was £70.11
    November was £59.50
    December was £36.55

This did not add up to the £670 I was aiming for, not sure what I did, but I ended up with £671.62! So slightly over, so have added the £1.62 to a random change tin I have started for next year.

The money was going to be used towards our wedding next year, but is now going to be used to get my car fixed, after I reversed into a skip in the driveway! 😫

I will be joining you all again for next year, but I will probably do a round amount at the beginning of each month rather than odd amounts, as it's easier to transfer at the end of the year (I've now got to bank lots of bags of change!)

Well done and thanks to Enthusiastic Saver for running this thread, and well done to each of you for saving, no matter how big or small you managed.

See you all in the new thread for 2024!

Thank you ES - #17 final report

I am working down my pre-picked list of random numbers and December's total is £51.63 to my Bonus saver  (am already topping up reg savers so this will have to do).  This takes my challenge total for 2023 up to £667.95

I see next years thread has kicked off, but have decided not to join in as I will be focusing on retirement planning and I am trying to reduce multi-tasking!!

Am so sorry @enthusiasticsaver, I had a pause due to starting a new job and have posted the last two weeks on the 2024 thread ooooooooops.

My final payment is going into the account today. This week my random number picker gave me:
    118, 125, 149, 54, 237, 244 and 204 = 1131 so £11.31 going into the pot.

Previous two weeks' payments were £14.39 and £9.58. I also had a little bit of interest at on 24 Nov and 24 Dec so my final total for the 2023 challenge is: #45 £624.17 - a bit short of the total expected but I'm really happy with that.

See you all on the 2024 thread properly and thank you so much to @enthusiasticsaver for running this thread xx

I didn't do at all well.  I had to bail out as I wasn't getting enough money to add to this challenge.  Well done to those of you who participated and did well x
