Spreadsheet updated and well done to all those who have completed the challenge already or those who will be leaving the challenge in the next few weeks and using the savings for buying Christmas presents. We are over £21k in total.
I have crossed off another 4 numbers and potted £13 so my pot now stands at £549. I am carrying on until the end of the year as my Christmas pot is saved elsewhere. I have 36 numbers to cross off so 9 more weeks takes me up to 22 December so hopefully I should reach my target then. Hope everyone else is doing ok.
Numbers crossed off are2.96 2.99 3.49 3.56

Morning all,
Well done to all those who have nearly finished! My challenge runs until end of December as I think I started on 29 December last year. I save for Christmas elsewhere, so haven't earmarked this pot for anything in particular, but it's lovely to see it growing each week!
Here is my Friday update. This week I chose the following random numbers:
263, 223, 143, 21, 145, 172 and 271 = 1238 so £12.38 going into the pot.
#45 new total is £516.99
Thanks to @enthusiasticsaver for keeping us in check!!

@Coxy11 If you do the challenge next year would you do random again? I have done similar random amounts this year but leaning towards doing it in order next year.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. This challenge has really got me thinking. Originally, I just wanted to be part of a structured event based around saving money each month. I didn’t know for sure what I could or couldn’t commit to, so the random amounts appealed to me as I didn’t want to overestimate what was achievable. I soon found that I could save a decent amount each month and have opened several high interest accounts where the money saved has been stashed…with the bonus of a good return (interest wise) at the end of each of the accounts end date.I’m so glad I chose to join this challenge as it has shown both me, and my wife, just what we can achieve when we put our minds (and money) to it! All of the monies saved, plus the interest, will be invested, along with other funds, in a new fixed rate long term savings account to be decided sometime over Christmas and the New Year.
We’ve still got November and December to go and fully intend to continue to add to our challenge pot for both of these months. After that, we will decide which challenge to commit to for 2024.
As ever, many thanks must go to @enthusiasticsaver for overseeing what has been an enjoyable and enlightening experience in these tough financial times.I hope everyone has been successful in their own personal challenge and have achieved the desired goals…I, for one, definitely have!
Best wishes and stay safe, and be lucky 🙏

@Topscooby You and your wife have certainly surpassed the targets. There is a savings challenge on the savings board £12k in a year (or any amount really) which I have also taken over the running for recently. That might be worth you exploring for next year.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
